Arsenal v City (Community Shield) Post Match Thread

Nobody in the pub seemed to give a shit. Most of the players didn't seem to either.

Can u pm me a post of yours the last time you posted something positive. Cheers mate.

Yeah you're right amazing performance team look primed for next week chomping at the bit and ready to go
you know what I mean. It's like you can't wait for something bad to happen then you post faster than fly's on shit.

Flappers will flap !

All is good - there can be no complacency - 3 man midfield - better players to come back.

This game has taught MCFC a lot more than it has taught the Arse. Mistakes have to be made to learn and players have to be tested to judge. We will have learned a great deal from a defeat which will have no relevance on our season.

All is well. C'mon City !!!

look at Khaldoon here...wonder what he's thinking.

I can take the defeat, I can take getting absolutely wet through before the match started, I can take a medium performance BUT it would have been good if our team could have acknowledged our support!! Quite a number of us waited until they got their runners up medals thinking they would come over as they did when we lost to Wigan but no, off they trotted down the tunnel. Poor show lads, you can tell Vinnie wasn't there or Zabaleta. They would have made sure it happened. I know some will laugh at this & say don't be silly, but it is these gestures that show the team care. Obviously these newcomers need some guidance, so why didn't our Captain for the day Toure make sure they did?? Just my humble opinion.

We knew what to expect today city treat every pre season friendly as a training session to make sure the players are if perfect condition for the start of the season! We didn't pick up any injurys yaya silva nasri jovetic dzeko all got more vital mins under there belts and pellers has revealed that mangala has signed.

Got to hand it to Pelegrini with the set up of the team, his lack of a pressing game, defending deep, allowing huge holes between defence and midfield and not creating many chances.
He played a physiological blinder and I am sure all our competitors and the media will have already written us off.
Come next week however the BLUES will again rise from the ashes and devour everything in their path..

Benarbia is a long time rag poster. Hasn't appeared often in recent times because we've been winning trophies. He's shown up now because we've lost a game and he wants to have a go about it.

It's all a bit sad.
