It's 2 dropped points against an injury hit arsenal side however way you want to dress it up

Posted this in the Pellegrini thread, but who were they really missing? This is confusing the shit out of me. Ozil has been turning in poor performances, Wilshere has had a bad season when fit, and Ramsey's a loss but Rosicky was great. It's just Koscielny, and Vermaelen played fine in his place. Where exactly was this gigantic opportunity that some of you naysayers are seeing?

Ozil and Wilshere have both been inconsistent, but on their day can be instrumental. Koscielny was a big loss and while Vermaelen is a top-quality back up to have, there were some doubts about how well he could step in, considering how little he's played this season and his role in conceding a goal to Swansea midweek- doubts which he did very well to dispell. Ramsey, or Welsh Jesus as we call him, of course was a big miss. And then there's Walcott, arguably our most potent goal-threat who has been out almost all season.

I understand why people were worried about some absences going into the game. What I'm asking is who were they missing in hindsight, after watching today's performance? Rosicky was fantastic in Ramsey's place. Vermaelen had nothing to apologize for in Koscielny's place. And the team has played better on the whole with Ozil and Wilshere sidelined. So in hindsight, where was this giant gaping window of an opportunity that the gunners' squad players weren't able to fill. Even Ox has stepped up for Theo, even if he didn't start today out of Wenger feeling cautious.

So we win at Arsenal, Chelsea win and Liverpool win and we're all dead happy are we?? We've GAINED on the leaders today, we could have lost, rejoice!!

watched most their games this season and ramsey, walcott and ozil are probably their 3 most influential players. ozil has had a disappointing season by his standards but he's still one of their best players when fit and his and ramseys combinations are the reason they actually played well earlier in the season

did goons break their own record for boooooooooooooooing tonight , why don they spend all this energy getting behind their team ,definitely 2 points dropped tonight against a shit scared team , they were there for the taking . Good overall performance but the game should have been put to bed by half time , great position to win the title now , whilst goons can enjoy their 4th place trophy . Thought sagna was arsenals best player tonight , he would make a good squad player for us next season.

decent result in a very difficult away game. even if liverpool should win tomorrow, i think this rounds results has moved us closer to the title. a very focused and disciplined game by pretty much everyone today. i am happy with this result all considered.

Professional performance imo. Looked solid apart from 1 or 2 close moments.

Anyone who can't see that taking 4 points from Old Trafford and The Emirates is an excellent return especially at this stage of the season is in all fairness a loon of huge proportions.

Added to this excellent week, Chelsea also took 0 points away from their game.

A fucking top week.

Does anyone know what the crack is re Kompany's yellow card today - does it put him close to a ban?

Oh, fuck the Red Dippers. They pretty much HAVE to beat us at Anfailed to have a chance. And with (hopefully) Aguero back that will be a big ask for them.

I think this will appear in retrospect as the weekend where the title was won. Huge point away in a fixture we have won exactly once in 39 years. And Maureen gets done by Pulis and his beautiful tracksuit.

Spuds were, are, and will always be good for precisely fuck-all. But who knows, maybe they'll take some points off of Brenda tomorrow. And if they do, we could even lose at Anfailed and still control our own destiny. I'd have snatched your hand off if you'd have told me we'd be in this spot the night after that Sunderland disaster. We were on pace for something like 59 points at that time!
