Arsenal v City post match thread

I think most of the post who seem to be unhappy are not because of the point but by the way the team performed. If a good performance was given I would bet most people would be happy.

What you should ask was 1-1 against the rags or 0-3 against Arsenal??? I know what i prefer...
Or perform well in both games and get 6 points. People talk about dominating the first half (although I agree) there was still way to many mistakes made and the attacks didn't seem as fluid as they should be. I think I remember seeing Toure loose the ball clumsily twice in the first attack. I feel some players didn't turn up. If a draw was managed with some big players not turning up and not having great games then what would of happened if the big players performed like usual? For this reason I see it as points dropped.

Put in context, our 1-1 draw at emirates isn't bad. Chelsea drew 0-0, rags won 1-0, pool lost 2-0. It isn't a bad result really

The rags drew 0-0 at the Emirates. Our 0-1 loss to them was at Old Trafford.

I'm relieved the team pulled itself together a bit today. That spirit was heartening to see, a brave, battling draw. We were out of the title last after Chelsea last week, so this is a point towards securing 4th place against Everton for us. You on the other hand are well in it, and I want you to win every game from now till the end of the season, I can't stand the thought of Mourinho happy, and I'd much rather City lift the trophy than Liverpool. You've got my vote for the title.

Looking at these two fixtures last week I thought manure and arsenal away ,four points and I will be happy, with Maureen dropping more points today it's all good, keep calm folks

Hold the criticism, we were playing Arsenal away people ! Thats one of the toughest games in the BPL and the Flamini and Podolski had great games and if their players were not injured they wouldn't be playing. Liverpool have both us and Chelsea to play still. Calm the fuck down there are still 8 games for us and 7 more for Pool to play and all games are tough. Can't win all the games.

Think they only had one fucking shot on target but the tarquin twats will think they deserved 3 points ffs.
Err...... the goal and the Podolski shot makes two I can think of straight off.
We didn't have that many on target but our off target opportunities were better IMO.

Podolski shot? I have a very selective memory when it comes to chances against...

;)

There was Cazorla's shot as well which Hart saved with his feet. I think three on target all told.

Most people think we're going to lose at Anfield, but imagine if we beat Southampton next week and then turn the scousers over at their ground? We've missed a big chance today but win the next 2 and the title will be ours.

Well, it's a case of the half full or half empty bottle.
I fear tomorrow we'll see the dippers towering the league with 4 points on us and their goal difference closing the gap on ours.
Had we won today, we could have afford to loose some points at Anfield.
We just made that game against Pool the season-defining one.
The hole team is to blame, begining with Yaya, Nasri and Dzeko : lack of urgency, precision and passion.

Why would you think we should lose at Klanfied????
So dont you think we are better than Liverpool???
Remind me of the score last time we met...
Fuck me did you not see the passion at the Swamp...Seems some people are losing sight of things on here....
DID WE LOSE TODAY?????

I will tell you what we lost today : the opportunity to have the luxury to make a future mistake ( slip points at Anfield and Gd Park for example).

I'm usually critical when we drop points, but i'm feeling cautiously optmistic right now.

Yes the way we were hanging on towards the end left me feeling a little deflated, but overall a draw at the Emirates is a good result. 4 points from two tough away games is a good result.

A lot of posters are fearing Liverpool for some reason, but they've won 7 or 8 games in a row now, so they can't and won't continue this form til the end of the season, they will drop points too, so relax.

Everyone was thinking the same about Chelsea, until they lost their last two away games to Villa and Palace, I'll bet no-one thought that would happen, but it did.

I believe the destiny of the title lays in our hands and I'm optimistic we can now win it (previously I never thought this until tonight's result).

All we need to do is match Liverpools/Chelsea's results and win our 2 games in hand and we'll be champions again!
