Arsenal Vs City Post Match Discussion Thread

No Yaya.

Really surprised today with how good we looked today without Yaya in the line up, now i've always been a big supporter of him but this season his form seems to have tailed off. I also think that if the opposition set up deep we lose the benefit of his bursting runs.

The way Milner played today makes me wonder if Yaya should be an automatic starter or not, one thing i am certain of is that Milner certainly deserves a run of games and this is his chance to shine.

City's line-up is shocking :)
Diaby is fit now I'm also laughing of joy, he will destroy City singlehandedly

Fecking Diaby ; laziest piece of sh1t I've seen grace the pitch. If i was an arse fan i would have shot him by now

Brilliant result brilliant performance, must give a mention to Barry, Milner, Garcia and Nastasic take a bow boys, top class and the rest of the team brilliant, my only gripe is some of the finishing was poor (as has been most of the season), could've been a coast but for this. Really hope the red card is turned over, as it wasn't as bad as first seen. I must also praise Mancini for not throwing Mario on earlier (I wanted him to start mind), as it could've worked against both Mancini, Mario and the team, as it was a feisty encounter and with Mario's state of mind, may have been a red rag to a bull, so well done Mancini. James Milner we are going to have a civil ceremony because I love you !. Big big win and possibly a season changer, as a 10 point gap could've been too much, but now the force is with us. Finally as Delia says "where are you, lets be having you" all you cockney fuckers who decided to invade on Fri, what's your fucking excuse wankers. All in all top day and top performance and 3 points, watch out Ferguson we are coming to get you !.

Summer 2011, he looks slim and lean

Christmas 2012, he's not as slim and lean

I think that's the only thing wrong.

Like the Arsenal fan on 606 complaining that the game as a spectacle was ruined by the early sending off, and suggesting the rules need to be looked at.

I doubt if he was complaining when Boyata got an early red back in 2010.

btw I thought Dzeko had scored the penalty. Was gutted to see it hadn't crossed the line.

Why didn't Tevez take it?

well played the lads

f*ck them scum 4 points come 5 O'Clock next saturday

Re: well played the lads

Keep the pressure on and their arses will go big time. They'll be having flash backs to last season and fergie will be having nose bleed

Nice to see Gareth Barry's eventual replacement, Jack Wilshire, is developing very nicely too.

Went down so easy every time a city player went near him.

He would do for me, the only arsenal player that was totally committed.

The way he was reffing the game, has united written all over him

Yaya is a great player, no doubt, but not a god like a lot of BM'ers seem to think. He hasn't really had a single very good match so far this season, and I for one didn't miss him at all today. In fact I think we'll miss Kolo more than Yaya if Vinny's red card won't be rescinded. Garcia and Barry seem to have a good partnership, and Milner is just outstanding. Next to Zab he has the biggest cojones of our players, and it would be unforgivable to let him go.

We should now be able to put a run of wins together. Fulham home should be a win, QPR away should be a win (although they are getting their act together and about to sign M'Vila), Liverpool home should be a win (but not an easy one), Southampton away should be a win... which takes us to Chelsea home, a tricky one.

Some old mates of mine are, but what sanctimonious whinge bags most Arsenal fans are. Get over yourselves, the world's moved on.

And not conceding goal from set pieces! Is it because of the training or arsenal is not good at taking them?

-- Sun Jan 13, 2013 8:02 pm --

Corrigan, Clements, Donachie, Doyle, Watson, Oakes, Hartford, Bell, Royle, Marsh, Tueart. Sub. Power.

That was the last team, before today, to win away at Arsenal.

That must have been one of the longest bogeys in the history of English football.

And it's great hat it has finally been broken.

I must admit, I didn't think it would be today, with both Kun and YaYa out.

I'm sorry to contradict you but the longest bogey in the history of English football was produced by myself during that night match a couple of seasons ago at the Etihad when it reached -8 degrees C. This astounding item was loosened by a half time cup of Bovril, it filled three tissues and I forwarded it to Gary James who verified my claim with the help of the Guinness Book of Records. It can be seen in a special gallery at the National Football Museum, although approximately 4cms was lost when it was damaged in transit from the old museum in Preston. It is next to a case that contains the largest piece of gristle found in a football stadium pie - I believe this was collected from a steak pie at Old Trafford when Louis Edward's butchers firm still supplied all the grounds meat products.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger

Bang on the money mate. When he's not diving all over the place or giving snidey little digs at opposing players, he's snivelling and whinging at the ref. He's the next paul scholes in that he's not a dirty ****, he just can't tackle.

Fucking brilliant
I have never seen us win here so it was worth every penny just to exorcise that demon

Fucking Liverpool,is the only place left now

Thank you to the guys who came over
