Arsenal Vs City Post Match Thread

Good point could of won it but could of lost it at the same time.beat Chelsea and were right in it
Lose and were possibly 8 points behind with 5 games played.....

The strong finish was the pleasing part.

We are where we were last year with arguably a tougher start in terms of opposition.

We need to get all three points next week though.

I thought we shaded it overall but again we leave ourselves vulnerable at the back sometimes.

We let them back into it when we should have snuffed them out

Before the game started, with the lineup we had, we should have been happy with a point. Without Yaya and especially with an aging Lampard and not sharp enough fernandinho it was the most we could ask for. So fair result from that perspective.

But boy, hats off to our players. We may have missed chances, we may have made errors, but such a lively performance against such cheating bastards orchestrated by a cheating ref (well done Pellers for finally pointing it out but the biased media will spin this into a negative whereas they should be pointing out why such a calm, likable man is finally speaking up the truth) away from home.

It does feel like 2 dropped points. But remember, we outplayed arsenal's best side who had three in the middle versus Milner and nasri of all people at the end of the game. We were robbed, as simple as that.

But as long as we beat chelsea next weekend, its OK in the season's infancy.

Have to agree with you mate....not sure how we can be happy with a draw....These are games the "new" city should win...Not putting away chances when they are there, will always cost us and silly mistakes will cost us......Still think our play is too predictable and Dzeko still missing changes he should take.....still don't think he does enough for us to extend his contract another 4 years.....his play off the ball is poor and still missing good chances.....I know many seem happy with the result but after the Stoke game we should be setting higher standards....still believe we needed to inject more pace and talent into the side than we did in the transfer window....teams are going to read our style of play like a book....

Are you for real

Yes I am......we shouldn't be happy with a draw.....no good after 80minutes of the ball and cant put our chances away and take the foot off the gas for 10 minutes and they score twice....something not right about that.....at the end of the season no-one gives a shit if the ref wasn't on our side in these games....we need to win and sick of using excuses when we don't....imho!

Clueless is all I can say.

Any decent and fair ref out there today and we win very very comfortably.

What did he say?

Basically that there was a clear foul in the play leading up to both their goals, that we should also have had a clear penalty and that it will be very difficult for us to retain our title if we have to face such crap ref performances.
About time he said that, city are the only team with players who don't roll around as if they are shot and some like silva and aguero are far too honest, they try to stay on their feet even if they should have gone down.Lot of likable players in the city squad, one reason why neutrals don't loathe city as much the other so called big clubs.

Dzeko gave a masterclass in play acting at Everton. Let's not be too high and mighty on this.
I agree we are generally pretty decent, but we're not entirely above doing it when it suits.

Gutted we were playing them in such a big week because we would've probably beaten them comfortably with our first choice team.

Aguero lost the ball because he was fouled. The direction and power of Kompany's clearing header were affected because he was fouled. Wilshire knocked the ball away from Silva in the penalty area with his arm. Clattenberg is a biased c**t, and shouldn't be allowed to referee our games.
Can I add Wilshire's first half dive and elbow on Lampard to this list. Cnut (Wilshere)
