Arsenal Vs City Post Match Thread

If we are two points behind after Chelsea game, having also played Newcastle away, Liverpool and Arsenal, then today will be a great result.

And the rest should just pack up.

Nobody would have legislated for a defeat at home to Stoke, so we will be flyinuug, regardless.

That's despite players not yet finding their stride.

think we will take Chelsea to pieces next weekend.

Mourinho will want to set up for a draw and hit on the counter, the only disadvantage is the trip to Munich but we are superior to Chelsea.

Wish I could agree but I fear a similar result against Chelsea as last season, they are great at counter attacking football. They beat us and Liverpool home and away last season with that style of play.

Somewhat gutted

A very winnable game against the utter classless lot of the league, the booing thatcherite tarquin wankers.
More like two points lost than a point won.

However, the lads were class and the team showed great composure, effort and decision after Clattenberk equalized and took the lead.

Happy for Kun a lethal surgeon and Micho, perfect header.

PS. Jack Wilshite is a Coont.

The one eyed nature of football fans is summed up by this guy on metro. He has all the same complaints that we have.

Having said all that a draw seems reasonable. After all we were an inch away from Welbeck opening the scoring which may have made life difficult.

Just need to put Chelsea in their place next week.

Judging by their dominance so far think thats a tough ask. We need to be at our very best to get anything from Chelsea. Maureen will come with his game plan and we need to be ready.
I reckon they'll have to be at their very best to get anything from us to be honest. This is a perfect opportunity for Pellegrini to put Maureen's nose out of joint and let the arrogant bastard know who's boss.

That is a disgraceful article, especially the bit about Arsenal not getting the rub of the green from Refs, 3 of our players were booked before we were given a free kick!

this 100% , chelsea havent played anyone yet , apart from a very disjointed everton team , leicester , burnley and swansea are games any title contenders are expected to win , after chelski stole 3 points at the etihad last season ,our players will be straining at the leash to work it up the media messiah

I must have missed the part where we had to play Martin Demichelis in midfield.

Or when we took them apart just two weeks later in the Cup, with Garcia actually coming in as the holding midfielder.

Chelsea's only change that day was Terry, a fucking has been.

I've heard it all before, people are talking themselves into believing Chelsea are this great team.

Played absolutely nobody yet.

But have conceded five against the mighty Burnley, Everton and Swansea?

Chelsea have an easy mid-week game at home. Schalke = bottlers, underachievers, in the bottom half of the BuLi already and losing tonight. We have Bayern Munich away. This week is a real challenge for us. Play the fringe + kids against Wednesday mid-week after these 3 games and hope for the best as our big boys will need rest.

What have we learned from today ?

We can play well without Yaya.

Fernandinho is a MONSTER.

Lampard is finished in the PL.

Milner's value is clear to see. Give him a few starts and put the pressure on him to sign his new contract.

Navas gives us something we don't get from any other of our players.

Never, I repeat, NEVER, count us out. A draw is OK, but wouldn't have been any injustice if we had taken 3 points.

Long way to go this season and I think our difficult early start(fixtures) and ability to rotate with strength will start to tell come Feb/Mar.

Fact mate, if we come through Bayern unscathed, we will show this league what we are made of.

FACT!

Is that you, Rafa?

I agree, Chelsea are winging it, hoping to blast out the blocks like they used to under Mourinho.

They will shit themselves when they realise after about 150m it's a 400m race and our flat speed has us still coasting.
