Two up top for this would be a big mistake. Hard to know who's going to be fit but, injury permitting, I'd go with:

……………Hart

Zabaleta Kompany Mangala Clichy

………….Fernando..Yaya

Navas………..Nasri……………Silva

………………Aguero

Re: Arsenal Vs City Pre Match Thread

I think he'll prioritise Wednesday over this. We can recover from a loss against Arsenal and win the league more easily than we could recover from a loss against Bayern if we want to win the group.

If we'd beaten Stoke, I would have agreed but I don't think we can afford 2 league defeats in a row (with Chelsea next up) and so I hope MP prioritises the Arsenal game. For one it is more winnable and secondly if we lose against Bayern, we still have the chance to beat them at home to even things up.

We definitely need to prioritize Arsenal and Chelsea matches

We're the champions of England, we'll prioritize all of them.

Got a feeling Arsenal will win 1-0 (Welbeck) :(. Sorry.

two league games without scoring that's not happened in a while

Good shout. I wonder if we have to go back to Hughesless days for that or even further back.

or we could go back to last year's CFC at Home and Norwich Away games...

With Pellegrini we should know by now that every game is a priority. He will not be thinking of Bayern until we have played Arsenal. Similarly he won't think about Chelsea until we have played Bayern. We have a big squad and even with injuries we can provide teams with a stern test. The fact is that Arsenal and Bayern will both look to dominate possession. I think we really have to go at Arsenal though, as other teams did last season. We were incredible there first half last season but then took our foot off the gas. Depending on who is fit, if we have the likes of Fernandinho really getting at them we can look to score a few early.

Against Bayern we should play on the counter as well. They will keep the ball all day long, so let them have it and force them into doing something special. Their defence isn't all that when being ran at and we can score. We should be encouraged by last years result. The Chelsea game could be tough having played two teams that like to keep the ball - we might be chasing it for large periods and without a fully fit squad we may struggle. Interesting to see how we play these games. Three crackers coming up, and I'm not sure I am ready for them yet!

Just seen a report that Fernandinho doesn't fly back in until Friday.

I thought his game was early hours of Wednesday, but maybe its the early hours of Thursday
