The way we play pushing everyone into the opposition half will play into arsenals hands with there pace on the break, let's hope we play like we did against Liverpool where we stayed slightly deeper...

Arsenals defence really struggles against pace so I'd go in either 2 ways

..........................................hart........................................

zabba...................vinny..........mangala...........kolarov

.............................fernando.......lampard....................

silva.......................................yaya........................milner

..............................................aguero................................

I'd hardly call that a pacey line up, especially on our right.

Are all the players back tomorrow. (Edin playing tonight I think)
Pellegrini can start thinking what team he can put out dependant on injuries.

Brazil play Weds 02.00 GMT so Fernandinho not back until Thurs with jetlag!

You wouldn't really want to give Mangala his debut away at Arsenal as it's a bit of a baptism of fire, but then you could say the same about Munich away or Chelsea at home and I can't see Kompany and Demichelis starting all three. Makes the decision not to give him a run out against Stoke all the stranger. I know Pellegrini said he wasn't match fit, but the only way to get that sharpness is to play games. It's a pity he didn't play for France the other night.
Some tough decisions to be made just now, glad I'm not doing it.

he aint done bad over the last season

Not playing him against Stoke was very weird. I thought he was sure to start. I can still see him starting against Arsenal though. Being honest you don't pay what we paid for a player and then bench him for such a big week. Didn't Nastasic have his debut against Madrid away? That was about as tough a baptism as you can get.

I'm not expecting anything from this game, I fancy our chances against Chelsea at home more

So if we do get anything at all from Arsenal away it will be a plus for me

At least a couple of my mates think the same, which I find a bit strange. I think we've gotten inside the Arsenal players' heads the same way in which we've gotten inside the head of the rags in the last few seasons. It'll take us shooting ourselves in the foot ala Van Persie's free kick to drop points. Otherwise I can only see a City win. We're far too strong for them. They're not even as good a side as Liverpool IMO.

I think if it was at ours i'd agree, I just get the feeling they are gonna be a different animal this season...and their charity shield win over us, no matter how insignificant, would have instilled the belief in them that we are beatable

Funny, my mate said exactly the same thing not 24 hours ago. I'll say to you what I said to him. The last time we lost a Charity Shield (when we were given a footballing lesson apparently) we went to the home of that team and gave them a footballing lesson of their own. ;)

God I had forgotten the Charity Shield. I think I must have tried to wipe it from my memory we were so utterly shite.
