Arteta

If Arsenal are interested then I suspect Moyes will sell to them to piss City off though.
I think the Lescott saga proved once and for all that Moyes has zero say over who is sold at Everton. He can idiot all he likes to the media but the business of the club is handled by people way above his pay grade.

I'd rather we never do business with Everton ever again after the way Gollum behaved after the Lescott saga. He was still making snide comments months later.
I wouldn't sell them a player or buy one off them.
Fuck em, they're desperate for our cash yet are still bitter and resentful about us having it.

I agree with this. Moyes were highly disrespectful IMO in the summer. So was Bruce at Wigan. I think you have to make a stand sometimes. For all that the media say to the contrary, we have, for as long as I can remember, been a very respectful and dignified club. To my knowledge we have always tried to follow the rules and often suffered because of it. Some people can call it naivety or foolishness, but I like that we try to do the right thing. Moyes and Bruce accused us of things that I believe they knew were not true (or at the least no different to how the rest of the footballing world works, including them). These men should ever be dealt with again - otherwise we give some credence to their accusations. IMO at least.

There are plenty of players we can get other then Arteta.

Arteta's fitness is the only thing that worries me, otherwise it would be a yes all day long.

My liverpool friend seems to think he knows Gerrard is off to Madrid, which surely opens a Kaka door again.

I think we should look elsewhere. He is injury prone plus after the Lescott saga I prefer if we do our business elsewhere. We don't want another expensive crock like Santa. I'm hoping we have learnt our lessons from last year's transfer dealings.

I don't think Kaka will come while we aren't in the CL. He may go to Chelsea and reunite with Ancelotti. I like the phrase Kaka door though, David Moyes is a massive fucking kaka door.

Ireland 2 seasons ago was better than Arteta has ever been & will ever be. If we're letting him go, we want a player of that quality to replace him.

I agree we shouldn't deal with Everton or Moyes. The shit they stirred up about the Lescott deal, was a disgrace. Telling their fans he wasn't leaving under any circumstances & City were out of order, whilst all the time dealing behind the scenes at the top level to get the fee up. Then using it as a stick to beat us, as if we somehow forced the sale. If they'd genuinely refused to deal with us like they pretended, Lescott would never have been unsettled. He knew they were talking to us, Everton announced it to the press to see if other bidders would come in to start an auction!

I opened the Kaka door first thing this morning, but I did have a few pints and a curry last night!

I bet Van Der Vaart would cost less, not much chance of getting a game at Real now either.

Quality player. But so is Schnider. Come on though signing a quality dutch player that is well suited to our league for £10 - £15 million is hardly our style when we can sign an inferior player in Milner / Arteta for 2 or 3 times the moey plus loose Ireland in the process.

I will try to stay positive though......
