Arthur Labinjo-Hughes

I think you'll find they do

Do they?

“As part of our investigations we were able to access their home where we found a CCTV camera set up in their living room. And the footage from that helped us build up a picture of the grim reality of Arthur’s life inside that house.”

What evidence do you have for that?

Children's care proceedings go through the civil court which mean they only have to establish facts on the balance of probability not beyond reasonable doubt as they would in criminal proceedings.

It would also be against their duty of care to prevent the child coming to harm if they just waited for more abuse instead of stepping in.

Unless there was other criminal behaviour like drug dealing or cuckoo-ing the police wouldn't be running surveillance.

I always used to enjoy a good time - as did my Mrs - 25 years ago my lad was born and 23 years ago my daughter. From that point on life changed I barely went to a pub for about 20 years - mostly we went just on holidays to eat. My kids were and will remain the most important things in my life. I will always strive to help and protect them and god help anyone who did anything to harm them. Its for that reason these events are to me inexplicable and unforgiveable. Absolute scum.

Really knocked me for six this one. I’ve got a 4 year old myself and the thought of that young boy going through the emotional and physical pain crushes me.

I still find it crazy that the grandparents or uncles etc didn’t do more. I know in hindsight it might feel hard to do, but if any child was going through that pain I’d feel I’d really have to intervene more strongly.

They will get it in prison, infact I reckon if they don't kill themselves someone will kill them and rightly so. They don't deserve to live
