I wouldn't want a response mate. People like him use threads like this and the election one to slag off people whose opinions he disagrees with. He adds nothing, contributes nothing. I came on wondering exactly what the details were about the £36bn and what bluemooners thought about it and I saw that, revelling in his joy about a poster he disagrees with not as vocal on the threads.

He publicly states his defence of the NHS and people suffering due to NHS cuts yet finds depression and suicide comedic tools for ridiculing others. What is going on in his head?

To be fair to him I associate the phrase "retire to a darkened room with a bottle of whisky and a loaded revolver" in the context of what used to be expected of, or demanded from, defeated generals. Similar to "fallen on his sword". Not an act brought on by depression or mental illness.

Like myself, it's why I said something.

But maybe i'm the "wrong sort" of left-winger. Apparently that's a thing, too.

I myself have many views that can be considered left wing. I'm just not hard left on absolutely everything and can consider that both the Tories and Labour can be right and wrong at different times.

And then act like a hypocrite on something that I'm supposedly caring about.

Anyway, this bill they keep mithering about, we've paid Northwards of £200 billion as membership of this club,
far more than the majority of those still in it, and received less in benefits for our trouble, if anything we should
be negotiating a rebate. What about the assets of this bloated bureaucracy, we've stumped up for all kinds of buildings
and other assets, we'll have some of that back.

Got any facts to back any of that up?

Seeing as we are the only country that has a rebate? And got things like capitol of culture which boosted Liverpool and Glasgow massively,

While we paid in more than we got out We were the 8th largest contributor. No where near the top.

Well, if we paid in more than we got out, it is patently obvious that Thatchers negotiated rebate, merely cut
down the payments. What about current assets owned by the EU, which this country has contributed towards?

what assets do the EU have then that we should be able to take a share of? the things that have been invested in? wouldn't that then mean that the EU own 50% of everything in this country that has been invested in?

Who's the 7 who pay more than we do mate, seeing as we contribute a fifth of the EUs budget. I know EUs accountings iffy but I'm struggling to see how 7 contribute more than us.

If I'm not mistaken, the rebate is for the huge amount spent on agricultural subsidies on the continent which are completely out of kilter with our relatively small agricultural industry.

Its not the only one ive seen using simiar figures but is the 1st hit this time around, saw lots of very similar figures when the original brexit threads were going.
Well I read the House of Commons briefing paper in January this year which states we're the 2nd biggest contributor into the EU 3rd by population,I'm pretty sure 8th is dreamed up bollocks to be honest.

No my uncle took his own life so I take exception to people mocking fun of mental illnesses in the same way you would. Or at least i'd expect you to. I don't care what you personally think of other posters, it's you making light of something serious that affects other people I have issue with.

But then you've already shown your true colours on here many a time. Altruistic only when it suits.

If you knew anything at all you'd know the phrase is often used when referring to defeated generals or the Lord of the Manor having been found out fiddling with the stable boy.

Go bother someone more your size.

Precisely.

You still haven't come to terms with who has the whip hand in these negotiations.

Tick-tock.
