Article 50/Brexit Negotiations

It's like you answered a completely different post to the one of mine you quoted, positing your opinion is a bit much it shows a certain degree of arrogance. More wishy washy daydreaming with no substance, carry on.

It's you that's day dreaming. Once we've left we will have no deals with anyone. For the last 44 years all our deals were negotiated as part of the EU and the enormous leverage that gave us. The EU is large and it's wealthy and had the whip hand in negotiations.

We on the other hand? And how long will all these glorious deals take to negotiate? And on whose terms? No point asking you, a Dolly Daydream like you couldn't negotiate your way out of a paper bag.

Ok so why don't the eu have a trade deal with Canada, china the USA. , you know with all that enormous leverage.

It was one remainers take on what 50-50 looks like from their cliff edge perspective.

But you missed the bit where he was telling everyone how daft they were and how clever he was and then he dropped the Vordeman on us. Was a classic. What followed was the greatest impression of Lord Lucan I have ever seen.

CETA already exists with Canada.

As for China and the USA, for very different reasons there is no over arching agreement, but not because the EU lacks leverage but because there are major stumbling blocks for all parties.

In Brexit fantasy land trade deals fall off trees lickety-split with wonderfully beneficial terms for the UK and compatibility in every area of goods and services, with a sublime mix of economic benefits for both parties. These fantasy deals are truly magnificent and more than compensate for any loss of trade with the EU (which of course will never materialise because we are going to have all the benefits of membership without any of the obligations).

I knew you would bite sugar tits....

what I don't understand is we had the referendum we issued Article 50 and I had been assured that by now the deal would be done we would have left the EU free of charge and have access to all the good bits because "they " needed to sell us wine, cheese and German cars. The NHS would be £350m pw better off, immigration would be down to single figures as we had control of our borders and we would be passing our own laws to re-establish our own sovereignty ( like a ban on playing Ode to Joy or something ) and Davis and Fox would be taking a late break so they could spend the time between now and Xmas to bang out a few trade deals to make us the biggest and bestest trading nation in the world - so we can see 2018 in to the chimes of the re-awakened Big Ben with May calling another snap election this time to win a landslide. Seems this is delayed however....
