As from today I am stopping buying or reading on line the MUEN

Last time I bought it was after we beat them 5-1 in '89. Still got it somewhere.

Bought the Pink religiously and I would have a bet with myself before buying it over which team would have the headline (in the days when both kicked off 3pm Saturday).
There was a period over 5 weeks when first three games both teams won - rags get the headline. Then the following week both teams drew - rags got the headline. The 5th game the rags lost 2-0 at home to Everton and City lost 1-0 at QPR. Yes, you guessed it...... ''City Capital Crash'' or something similar got the star billing!

My old dad used to say if both teams lost 8-1,the headlines would read "City battered" and "Reds in 9 goal thriller"

I have been in the habit of checking the main MuEN site most days since moving to North Wales, simply to keep up with Manchester news. Seriously thinking of following r.sole's lead though. The scroll wheel on my mouse has worn out trawling down the page to find the City news- and as for the standard of "journalism" on the main news pages - is it edited by a primary school kid?
The newspaper industry is dying on its arse - the MuEN will be next in the coffin.

The MEN can look like Rag central, but the Mirror must be edited by their PR department. I read a lot of
papers, and used to have a soft spot for this, but they can fuck right off from now on

Stopped buying it well over 20 years ago, could see which way it was going way back then
