Apart from the Bhurka being none-of-your-fooking-business(especially if the woman chooses this for herself and they can DO, believe me!), the tagging and the border shit, I can pretty much agree with that post.
My main concern has always been the extreme clerics. I just keep wondering where all the good cleric voices are.
How can so few out shout the majority...??
But, then again, when countries of Islam are being occupied and bombed, surely you expect a backlash, somehow??
Maybe you should also petition to get the soldiers out of those countries and this society can start the healing process...???
So, Bigga, Islam is one great whole, is it? No, it isn't. It is hugely fragmented. There's Sunni and Shia to start with, then Sufism, then lots of other small and not so small sects, many of whom are discriminated against by the majority sect in their particular country. The vast majority of Muslims are peaceable and want to live within the framework of the laws the country they live in. Unfortunately there is a minority who want to return to the Caliphate, live under an extremely politicised Salifist system - it is those who threaten anyone who demurs from their hate filled agenda. Let's not fall into the EDL trap and simplicise things to a Beano level - us and them. It ain't like that.
I KNOW there are many sects, which was my point! I spoke out against the EXTREMIST clerics & no one else. I know many Muslims, many! But, let me say that even some of the most peaceful are starting to question things as violence against their people spreads, not to mention the negative depiction of Islam in the media.
I took a phone from one such guy that I had to convince about what the media was up to. I was shocked that even he was starting to have his doubts. What has entered his mind in order to have such thoughts?
Unless the sane of us, in our society(so called leaders), nip this shit in the bud, we may be in for some seriously rocky times.
