Ashes 2017/18

Our bowling attack is just not good enough. Anderson and Broad lack pace but they bowl a good line and length and pick up wickets and don't concede many runs. Moeen just can't spin the ball. Woakes and Ball are just slow and don't seem capable of bowling 6 deliveries in the same area. Ball especially has been poor bowling 82mph "bouncers" to an in form Steve Smith. If they can't skittle the tail without letting them add 100+ runs we might as well just go home now.
 
This match has gone now, going to stop following. Jake Ball? FFS. Might show an interest if they bother to pick a decent team for the second test.
 
Their bowlers are just better. Making it look like ours bowled on a completley different pitch.

No. Was a decent ball just back of a length. Straightened hugely and he played the original line, was squared up and nicked to first slip.
 
England have to survive the morning session tomorrow, if Australia get a couple of early wickets then England will be facing defeat, on the flip side if England can survive and get some runs on the board, gabba is not the pitch for a 4th innings run chase, great first test match this is

According to Ponting & Gilly this pitch will still be great to batsmen come the 5th day.
 
Cook is an idiot. No need for that shot at all. Could have done with him staying in with stoneman until the morning. Stoneman looks solid out there, hopefully him and root can put up a decent partnership. Need several big scores or else we’re fucked.
 
Said before I’m worried about Cook because when he is in this type of form it usually lasts for a series problem is there ain’t no one to bring in. Bowling wise we power puff, said beginning of series though we have to get big runs. Root need a big innings here to stamp his authority in the series, if he goes cheaply tonight going to be a long long series. Regarding Stokes what’s happening is he been banned by ECB he ain’t been charged.
 
Smith is a superb player. Twice Australia were in the shit in that match and he bailed them out with able support from Cummins.

Need a great innings from Root now. I don't fancy our chances otherwise
