Moyes admitted he hadn't properly seen the incident but that his first impression was that Fellaini had simply backed into Zabaleta.
If this is taken from his interview with SKY, he actually said that he hadn't seen the incident again, and was surprised because SKY always show him, but from where he was it didn't look a foul.

Its hard to argue with any of that, at first showing I was surprised that Fellaini was booked so quickly, only when they showed the replay was it apparant that it had been an assault. Oliver has no excuse other than "bottled it" and Fellaini should get a retrospective ban.

Wellbeck on the other hand tripped then slid, and yes it could have been nasty, but not a red card for me.

Oliver seems to have come in for a lot of stick, mainly because of these 2 decisions, but I actually thought he had a pretty decent game apart from the Fellaini incident, and a couple of other minor things, such as the Rooney non booking, he let the game flow, and for most of the game he went unoticed, which is always a good trait for a referee in my book, rafael should have also got a booking for a foul on Silva, but the game didn't stop for about 6 or 7 minutes after that, and to go back that far to give a yellow is probably too long.

To be fair the game didn't need much refereeing, I thought it was played in a very good spirit (apart from the thug), by both teams.
Does that Geriophile **** ever let the ball go out of play without going on at the ref, linesmen or the fourth official?? Watching the match in a pub last night with 35-40 rags and 3 blues, the early goal gave me the opportunity to point it out to the cunts to embarrass them, nothing to fucking say any of them.

Re: Assault, leg breakers and elbows.

Can't believe people saying Wellbeck's challenge wasn't a red.

That's bollocks. It was out of control & dangerous. He made no effort to minimise the danger to Zabba, just went straight through with it.

Fellaini's was a red obviously, but the worst Zabba would get from that is a few loose teeth or a broken nose. He was very very lucky not to have a broken leg from Wellbeck's challenge. It was made with a total disregard to the outcome.

He slipped. It was incredibly dangerous, but it's hard to ascribe any malicious intent. I'm not really wanting to watch a sport where people can't run at top speed after balls because they're liable to be sent off if they slip on wet grass.

I mean, he's a red and I'm ecstatic if he gets sent off, but unlike Fellaini I think the ref probably got that one right. A red would have been harsh.

gif/picture of the Welbeck foul? I think I missed it in the game.

It was [ to use a referee`s term ] Reckless and out of control. Therefore a straight red. If you watch the replay as Zabba is clearing the ball with his right leg, wellbeck clatters into his left leg [ standing leg ] Dangerous play.
The " malicious intent " comes because wellbeck overruns the ball and lunges out of control into Zabba`s standing leg.
As for fellainis assault i dont think that needs explaining, just a straight red no question.

Re: Assault, leg breakers and elbows.

Even the Mrs called Fellaini's so it must have been an obvious red

Vincent should get the clippers on Fellaini at the next international meet up - in his sleep. Just one number one buzz right down the middle.
Fuck that, he should take a leaf out of Bellamy's book and brain the dirty wanker with a golf club, then frame hazard for it.
