I wouldn't be at all surprised to find out that Crusty the Clown fellow had worked the slipper into a few of 'em. He looked like he wouldnt stand for any piss taking.
Ha! Imagine the old bill releasing a CCTV image to the Eveving News, with the headline 'Has anybody seen this man?'

Haha, that reminds me of the pitch invasion against Spurs during the 1993 quarter final at Maine Road. The match programme the following week had a rogue's gallery of people GMP wanted to speak to, taken from CCTV footage of the trouble. One of the mug shots was a guy in a clown's wig, quality.

How's it pathetic? You go somewhere and start slagging the local people off and you deserve to get your face kicked in, especially at a footy match where everyone's a bit pissed. It's pathetic to sing that shit in the first place, because you're asking for it.

Are you 12?

What an informed and eloquent comeback, well done for justifying your opinion without sounding like a condescending wanker.

I saw most of this incident from fairly close by.

General points have been made reflecting both views that are reasonable (inc villan whose post was one of the most sensible).

Some are stupid Danny Dyer type/I,m dead hard/I'd av done this that and the other bravado.

The key point has been missed and this is cause and reaction.

I saw one Villa fan presumably the one who gave out the first 'slap' (the cause) being piled into by half a dozen City fans(the reaction) by the side of the bus.

A reasonable reaction I think would have been o pull the Villa fan away/tell him to F'off.or,hit him back in self defence(restrain him the same way if your mate is unable) if need be.

The guy might be an idiot but he didn't as far as I see it have a knife nor was he indiscriminately wading into women and children.

So, if you were one of the 6 -1 mob that took him down and gave him a shoeing on the deck ,you arn't hard, your a coward.

Go toe to toe with someone (over school age)then post your AAR.

Immediately after the incident, there were City and Villa fans mingled together, walking towards ASDA/down Alan Turin Way.Several Blues were commenting on the OTT reaction by the Green Street wannabees.

However... some on here seem to be suggesting that the Villa fans deserved a kicking because they were singing nasty songs. How fucking pathetic are you?

I guess when I sang "this city is ours, fuck off back to london" to United fans I deserved my face kicked in as well? I'm sorry but slagging off the away town and people is just what away fans do I thought, next time my brother in-law slags off people in Manchester I'll remember to kick his face in.

I'll pm you my number. Give me a ring before you do it, as i'll come and kick him in the facw when he's down, for you.

There's a difference between slagging off away fans and picking out a genuine bone of contention. I wouldn't have cried if those Notts fans waving a rag shirt got battered, nor would a I cry if a City fan got battered walking past the swamp singing about Munich.

You think its fair just you kicking him when he's down Glen? Don't be stealing all the fun and glory we need at least 7 or 8 of us unless there's just no point doing it ;o)
