Villa away

Arsenal away
Wolves away

this was 16 points out of 18 last season.
this year?
3 points out of 18.
The only net positive game has been Win vs United at OT. Otherwise we have been net negative already by 10 points. December has just started and fixture pile up will start now. You will see people say come. May we will be winning by 10 points etc but there isn't clutch creativity left in squad when Kev is out. All safe ball carriers and rolls Royce ™ players, no one tk grind the win out

This window was a lost opportunity in a season where we became immortal.

I often think of times how the fuck did we end up with Merlin,Aguero, Toure or even KDB when we were never a regular CL finalist or back to back league title winners or Treble winners.

And this window, where we could have easily prepared the next treble winning team but we got complacent.
This policy of letting any player leave if their head turn a little works out when we have better replacement in waiting.
We didnt prepare for that.

A model like Brighton only works you have scouted similar players before you do the big sell. Other wise your luck dries up and you become a Southampton.

Some players can't help themselves expressing negativity with their body language, (eg facial expressions, throwing up arms, not trying sufficiently, sulking etc).

Sometimes exceptional players are that good, people turn a blind eye to this, but unfortunately Nunes is not that good.
On what occasion has Nunes not tried sufficiently or sulked. I have seen him once throw his arms which to me suggested he was a little disappointed that a through ball wasn’t played to him. I’m not an expert on body language but I guess you are

If throwing your arms in the air is the epitome of sulking, then what does that make Haaland? He’s a veritable wind turbine in some games.

well apparently the first choice transfers were Bellingham, Gvardiol and Kovacic and we got two of the three? Rice was the back up option to Bellingham and we all know that we have a value and dont go over it plus i genuinely think that Rice wanted Arsenal more than us so that plays a part in the clubs thinking. It seems that Mahrez has confirmed in an interview that once he got the offer from Saudi that he told the club he would like to take up the opportunity and we found a way to make that happen and Doku has made an exciting start here?

As I said above "...Sometimes exceptional players are that good, people turn a blind eye to this, but unfortunately Nunes is not that good."

Haaland, KDB, Sane and Cancelo have all been prone to occassional negative body language. Pep overlooks the first two players because their output and world class talent more than makes up for that. With Cancelo and Sane Pep decided it was right to move them on.

Nunes is not world class, personally I think, like Philips, we overpaid and should have avoided him and got a better quality player. It was difficult I admit when Paqueta our 3rd choice couldn't move because of the betting investigations. I hope Nunes improves and Pep sees a player that can benefit our side, but at the moment, that seems a long way off.

Nunes hasn’t been on the pitch long enough for me to get wound up about his body language, though he doesn’t strike me as someone who smiles a lot- should join us in the match day thread! However, Nunes, like Phillips, is patently not going to replace Rodri on a like-for-like basis, so unless Guardiola finally settles on an alternative midfield balance that can accommodate his skill set, then his participation will remain bitty and he’ll struggle to nail down a starting position.

If a player can get ten consecutive starts, we can more fairly assess their attributes and what they offer, though that level of consistent selection tends to happen only when a side is winning.

I agree Nunes, like Philips, has not played very much for us. However Pep is with the players practically every day assessing their composure, skills, passing, attitude etc and if they're good enough to play for us. I trust his judgement.

I looked in detail about Nunes when he was at his previous club and personally wouldn't have bought him. I didn't want us to buy Philips either!

I am not sure either will get a run at starts if they're not convincing Pep in training, especially now we are out of the EFL Cup.
