Astley & Tyldesley new supporters club

Leigh does have a supporters club so it might be worth trying to get in contact with the bloke who runs that and merging.

I went to a couple of meetings in Leigh at the Litten Tree/Yates' and it wasn't a bad turn out, but if members from Astley/Tyldesley merged, it'd be worth it and really help us Blues hanging on the very edges of the Greater Manchester post code.

There are loads of Blues in this area and it's just a matter of promotion. Like I said, please try and get in contact with the bloke who ran the Leigh supporters club. If the club can't help you, PM me and I will try to locate his number/name which I have somewhere.

I remember hearing about the one at the litten tree but didn't think it ever got going. Who was running it? I know the owner of the eagle and hawk tried to get one going at one point too, but don't think that got going either

Swinton is £10, £5 for over 60's and no fee for kids plus there's free Christmas and end of season party thrown in.
The one I helped found last year as treasurer and web designer is £10, £5, £0 too. Mind you, I wish we'd had a bit more operating capital in the first year. A fuck up with the branch bank account also meant I took damage to my own account for a while (had to fork out for eleven Arsenal tickets). Suppose it depends on how many members the OP thinks he might be getting, and the composition i.e. how many adults, over 60s and kids. Certainly can't afford end of season parties if you want some operating capital with just thirty members - what ours has. I imagine big branches who've been going for a while can do it far more easily. Anyroad, just some things that need to be considered when setting your branch fees and whatnot - in my experience anyway.

At Swinton we have a raffle at each meeting with the profits going towards a free xmas party for the kids and a free end of season party.
