If I am brutally honest, I put down these dropped points to some bizarre decisions from Pep in the second half.

Obviously the team was not good in the first half, and even with our goal in the second, the energy and decisiveness was not there, and he chose to bring on Mahrez and then Ake, pushing Cancelo—who had been off for most of the match—up as our deeplying playmaker.

That in the face of what seemed to me a game screaming out for Alvarez’s energy and thrust, in place of Phil, rather than Bernie.

Even Pep will get it wrong every now and then, and I am not *that* upset about it. It’s just difficult to see him do it when there seems to be an obvious solution to the issues presented.

Why Bernardo started over Mahrez and Alvarez? I really cannot remember a time Bernardo was ever great as an RW. Put a proper forward there instead of trying to shoehorn one of our midfielders. I honestly do not like to see Ilkay, Bernardo and KDB on the field at the same time.

Crystal Palace, 2 games ago.. Tortured their left back and brought us back into the game after basically taking over from Mahrez on the rw.

When it comes to playing City I don't think any side does small time, game raising twattery quite like Villa.

We really are their cup final every season, they're still obviously deeply bitter about Gaz Baz and Milner and more recently Grealish.

I actually feel a bit embarrassed on their behalf when seeing the team and fans celebrate wildly after getting a draw against us.

Their keeper is a twat. He looked like he was off with all his grimacing when the physio came on. Looked like he'd never kick a ball again. Next thing he's hoofing it 75 yards. Twat.
