No complaints, and 1-0 flattered us. We basically had nothing, and the only positive thing I would say is that Villa are clearly a very decent outfit, it's not like we lost to the Rags.

Having said that, I still wouldn't put it past us to win the title.
 
Our press is shit atm, in fact, it seemed like Villa were purposely waiting for it and then playing through us with ease.
 
That was utterly catastrophic. The worst performance of Pep's tenure by some distance. Need a morale boosting win against Luton desperately then the trip to Saudi can't come soon enough!
 
Like others are saying, that's probably the worst performance i've seen since Pep's first season (which is actually pretty crazy in itself it's taken 7 years)
 
4/1 Villa - 4 Rodri games banned and 4 away losses, 3 without scoring.

Wonder if Pep had a few Bobb on it? Villa were 16/5 the 7/2 and 4/1 after the teams even with Lewis in the side. Easy money. The two subs just before the goal helped.
 
Firstly, the Villa performance was brilliant, as well drilled and energetic I've seen from a team in a long time.

The worrying thing for us is I can't see it getting any better - De Bruyne is a month away still and in the meantime we look absolutely rudderless. I was one of the ones who hyped Kovacic when it was sunny but fucking hell, tonight he drove me mental in his 'cameo' - turning backwards under no pressure every time.

Will never write this team off, we've been in similar positions before, but at the moment it's hard to imagine how it's going to be fixed
 
Reminds me of Peps first season when he didn’t have the players to play his system, he doesn’t now, he has replaced quality players with bang average, I have no idea who was in midfield in the middle, was it Stones was it Akanji! We are very one dimensional, even in the last minutes they refused to cross the ball into the box or shoot, it’s piss easy to defend against if you haven’t got a KDB or Silva to unlock it. Sadly no league this year but as long as we finish above the rags I’m not arsed.

Only Ederson and Dias can look themselves in the mirror... the rest should be ashamed of that performance. Some looked like they couldn't give a fuck and gave up before they stepped on the pitch. Can't give any of them more than 2 out of 10

Our summer business has been disastrous. 3 players that are nowhere near the standards we have set
