Villa deserved winners. Definitely going to be a season of transition based on recent performances. Our first 11 can beat anyone but the squad is a million miles short of our treble winning squad but that’s life.

I know it's temporary due to injury and suspension but to go from a midfield of Rodri, Gundo and KDB to Akanji, Kovacic and Nunes is criminal.

Villa a very very good team, we never really looked in it and had nothing going forward.

Hopefully our fortunes change soon, but we've been lethargic for a while now.

Wouldn't have complained if they'd won 3-0. They were miles better than us. 1-0 flattered us. City have some very big issues for Pep to sort out because the team were terrible tonight.

We can have no complaints. Other teams have improved while we have fallen into a rut which has resulted from injuries, fatigue, and poor personnel choices. Some of that is misfortune but some of that could have been foreseen.
