Plus Rodri wasn't playing in all three!Great stat. And possible proof we'll win the league
We are talking about a Southgate pick here. Southgate reminds me of Taylor...didn't he pick Carlton Palmer...and Andy Sinton regularly? The lads an international and the embarrassment is on the coaching staff if he can’t get on before today’s makeshift midfield
Without upsetting anyone further kane would have been a lot more involved in the build up, dropped deep in midfield to give us overloads and help us dominate possession which in turn would have helped us defensively. He also would have probably scored the header. What difference would Harry Hotspur have made this evening? Prime Messi would have struggled For what it’s worth Erling was our best outfield player imho
Facts to say other wise? He’s been very very poor Cost us the game on Saturday tonight he was making his player from 4 yards The stupidity against Sheffield United and that’s just to name two He’s suppose to be captain as wellAbsolute bullshit
At the start of the season I was pissed off that the World Club Cup would interrupt the season but now it could become a useful break to reset things for the second half of the season.Without Rodri, Pep knew we would struggle so think he rolled the dice. We have two games before the World Club Championship and I think he wanted to just get this one out of the way. The players are running on empty and its starting to show.
Thought our defence stood up well tonight against an onslaught , our midfield was non existent , Dias , Akanji have taken a lot of shite recently but they fought manfully , along with Ederson they kept us in the game.As soon as Rodri was booked against Spuds this was going to turn into a tough evening , a fully fit Stones would have made a difference , but he was miles off it fitness wise
Englands POTY when we signed him. Surely he’s a better option in midfield than Rico, Alvarez, an unfit Stones, Akanji, Kovacic or Nunez? The lads an international and the embarrassment is on the coaching staff if he can’t get on before today’s makeshift midfield
Then he needs to fuck off the shite in Saudi, play second string like league cup and rest everyone.Without Rodri, Pep knew we would struggle so think he rolled the dice. We have two games before the World Club Championship and I think he wanted to just get this one out of the way. The players are running on empty and its starting to show.
If they have, none of them will be, so a pretty stupid comment really.Have the players heard that they're playing in the conference north division next season, it's the only thing I can think of
Why all this talk singling out individual players when all outfield players plus subs plus Pep were abominable tonight. This was not a game that was one off, there is something going much deeper with Pep and the team. People are mentioning the games against Leicester and Everton that were classic mug-jobs, when we were caught on the break, on the off day/night. Our stats tonight are just extraordinary, you need to go years and years back to find this kind of non-performance.The issue with Walker is how limited he is.
He's in the team for his defensive ability. Which has been poor for a while now.
Playing him changes our shape, and not necessarily in a good way.
But no, I wouldn't say he was the problem tonight.
