Aston Villa (A) | PL | Post Match Thread

January is not going to solve this - not sure anything will. We’ll pick up some wins (hopefully!!) and probably finish around 10th. Next season is huge

I’ve been searching for something positive to say and it’s this…..last week we didn’t deserve to get beaten but today we were completely outplayed and the only surprise was Villa not scoring more goals….

Roll on crimbo…the new year….and most importantly the January window

Are we trying to get relegated before the PL does when the court judge us guilty of 115 charges or what?

Seriously the lack of confidence, physicality, probably workrate and the knowledge to deal with a dip in results is close to staggering.

Only positive is we lost at Villa the same way we did last season.
Done a lot better. We got totally battered last season. This time around we did show signs of being more competitive. It is near enough impossible to win game when all our better players are injured.

An absolute shocker of a performance. The second half was easily the worst of this run.

Outplayed is one thing but outfought is just completely unnaceptable.

The tactics are complete madness too currently.

MOM - The fans for getting behind them when there was absolutely nothing to get excited about.

A shocker of a day this one.

I can’t see where the next win comes from to be honest we are that bad.

You seriously think Pep doesn't show his passion to win to the players? If they won't do what he is trying to do and aren't good enough, that is NOT Pep's fault. It's on the players.

They need to take responsibility for their actions, or more appropriately of late, lack of actions.

I saw poor passing, walking around, lack of tracking back, losing the ball without any urgency to get it back etc.

I think you're letting the players off extremely lightly here.
Both need to take responsibility. Pep is doing the same thing week in week out and changes nothing. That’s on him.

No idea where to start with the players mind.

Result as expected as pep refuses to change anything material. Obviously he has enough credit in the bank to avoid the sack but he is a major problem at the moment
