Aston Villa (A) - Post-Match Thread

From the BBC....

Tonight was Guardiola's 150th win in the Premier League with Manchester City, and he has reached that landmark in 204 games - faster than any other manager in the competition.

5 off 500 Premier League goals under him as well.

Mental

Have to say watching that left me feeling depressed solely because of Dean. His bias was so obvious.
Great win and 3 points but not as enjoyable as it should have been.
Don't let Mike Dean ruin your buzz! If anything be more happy about it, He tried to do us but we are so good that he couldn't :-)

its a pity he did not show his loyalty when he was at manchester city ? could not get out of city fast enough and made his move happen with his people wanting the move on the cheap
Don't care a jot.

Standard practice nowadays. He wasn't the first to do it and won't be the last. Nothing wrong with grabbing what you see as an opportunity not to be missed.
One of the best players I've seen anywhere in the last 10 years.

He has played their since he was 4 and had given them great service, he leaves to better himself and they get a record transfer fee in return, he is sensitive and respectful in his pre match interview, he comes on for the last few minutes, shows a great first touch and they boo him continually. I hope they get relegated.
It’s like a divorce thin line between love and hate for some fans ( Alot of fans did clap him) Could have been a legend at Villa but will no doubt win trophies at city . Likely to become just a squad player at city.

I thought it was a foul first time but having watched it again I think he should have defended that better and been a bit stronger. However he is a midfielder doing a defenders job so I’ll give him a bit of leeway. The defending from the corner was poor so it wasn’t just down to that.
Spot on. Whether it was or wasn't a foul you move on and defend your set piece which we didn't do which was more annoying than what happened before hand. Villa obviously worked on that in training and to be fair to them they caught us out, Hopefully next time we'll be more alert to moves like that.

Your support is an absolute disgrace, thick as mince, utterly deluded and bitter to worlds end.

Likely to become just a squad player at city.
If he becomes one of our most important player in the next five years and is central to us winning multiple trophies, becoming a City legend in his own right, will you come back and say you were wrong? Or do you not think he's talented or commited enough to excel at a world class club?

Fuck me this place is full of some right miserable bastards.

thought whole team where excellent given the circumstances against very tough opposition. The way the side managed the second half after conceding was very pleasing. Ederson also came up with a big save which I know some people say he never does.

Grind out a win at Watford and it will have been a fantastic 14 days or so.

its was a very hard and fully deserved win that should have been easy. we are missing goals in the team and injuries to big players don't help

yes your right a little over the top by me and others but its what a fans forum is all about (other peoples views)
we all want more and more and its would be nice to kill games of after 30 minutes and coast the rest of the game

its what my doctor says i should do more and relax ? but i told him i support manchester city and he give me a repeat proscription for my blood pressure

Good performance, I think we would have won comfortably, but that early 2nd half goal kicked them into life. We gave away too many free kicks in midfield today. Sterling gave Cash a torrid time, he is looking a lot sharper again.
We didn’t actually give away too many free kicks, but we did in Mike Deans mind

I thought I would just prise the door open for others to put the boot in…

Yeah, he’s a grade one twat - will be interesting to see his real, unpleasant personality coming out when Villa start struggling and he has a bit of pressure on him. Anyone could have won done what he did at Rangers given how badly Celtic imploded last season.
Ffs my Pomeranian dog could manage either of those teams to the league, when it starts going tits up for slippy scouse be interesting too see how the media start reporting it ..

I don't think any of the authorities will be in the slightest bit interested.

No suits PiGMOLs way.of.controlling the PL-as corrupt as fuck and blatant with it. No fucking shame from the corrupt cunts.

But sweet to know that they cant stop us by legitimate means.
