Aston Villa (H) Post Match Thread

Littlewoods should have received a red card in the League Cup final.
In the previous round against Leicester too at the beginning of the game. In the following game postponed because of false positive Covid results, Arsenal had a player sent off. That wasn't " missed ". Again in the FA cup against Cardiff LiVARpool should have had a player sent off and Cardiff should have had a penalty early in the game. In the final against Chelsea, once again, decisions turned the game their way. Then there was the elbow on Son in the league, all over social media but once again "missed' by the officials.

Nah they were amateurs. Compare them to Madrid and how they closed down the game that awful night.
In hindsight though it could very well have been for the best. City grew as a team as a result, won the league and as Pep Guardiola said regarding the comeback, something along the lines of phoning Real Madrid and getting good advice.

Great picture. Nicked off the official City twitter account.....

Titled "When time stood still"!
That's a brilliant photo. Thanks.

It's killed us all off because we have no fans according to some out there lol.
The "brand loyalty" of 30,000 supporters in the second division suggests otherwise and was a deciding factor in the takeover, along with the potential for development at " wastelands ". Fortunately City's new owners had vision and weren't blinded by the spite, that only increased with City's continued success.

I loved this goal at Southampton almost as much as 93.20. Till the Villa match it was the most hysterical celebration I had ever seen from Pep. It was proper history in the making because no team will ever again achieve 100 points. It is a record that will stand for ever.. and another sublime assist from KDB.
I was thinking we would have to " settle " for just winning the league. We are spoilt these days as City supporters. Not too long ago it would have been the stuff of dreams. We have had so many iconic moments. The way Gabriel Jesus brought down that pinpoint pass from Kevin De Bruyne, controlled the ball instantly and lobbed the ball over the keeper with the last kick of the season was fantastic.
