Brilliant first half got the job done.
Second half was all about closing the game out, saving energy and avoiding injuries.
Sorry but you can’t play fantasy football for 90 mins.
More than happy with what I saw today.

Excellent 1st half performance, great fast tempo and good intensity. We moved the ball a lot quicker and we looked dangerous every time we attacked. Second half we took the foot of the gas and in the last 20 mins we got sloppy in possession and Villa could have a got a second. Rodri was immense throughout especially the 1st 45 mins and both Laporte and Dias looked good. I hope Dias was n't injured because Akanji worries me and looks vulnerable. All in all a good afternoon.

Pep confirmed that Dias was taken off because of the yellow card.

Not knocking Haaland just saying that I dont see Alvarez as 2nd rate in a big match. And yes Haaland doesnt always get the service he needs. Something Pep must be working on.

I thought Rodri could have played more forward balls to Haaland today,all he had to do was look up.

I thought we were brilliant first half today. Still good second half but the levels dropped a bit after they got their goal. Some of the play going forward was beautiful!

How the fuck was Mahrez allowed to take the pen (even though it was a decent one Haaland should be taking them) and was he trying to take out a Chinese spy balloon with that shot just before he came off? I thought he had a decent game though.

Rodders was brilliant and Grealish had a good game too.

As we were waking away from the coach getting in, toward the South Stand, the Police had some young lads pulled aside and they were searching through a backpack one of them had. They looked like they were being arrested but I didn't see what happened after that.

Couldn’t make the the game today , on holiday in Spain . The Irish bar had city on but mainly had the rugby on do I couldn’t hear the crowd.. What was the atmosphere fear like today ?

Much improved today. Some really good stuff in the first half, fast passing, good movement and 3 goals. I thought that we got a bit sloppy at times in the second half but could still have scored a couple more. The miss from Mahrez was unbelievable! Dias was really good in the first half and I felt that the change at half time unsettled us.
Atmosphere today was really good and it’s a shame that it can’t be like that for every game.
Just one moan from me and that was for the lack of acknowledgment from the players to the fans in the South Stand at the end of the game. I only saw Jack come down and boy did he get some shit from those horrible Villa “fans”.
Hope we can carry our first half performance from today to the game at Arsenal on Wednesday.

Difficult to offer anything lately, if you don't get a game lately. Foden has 2 more goals than Mahrez in the league, Mahrez's goals when not playing well seems to count more than Foden's goals when he's not playing well it seems.

Foden's last goal was against Brentford before the World Cup, since the restart he hasn't done anything when he he's played, Mahrez was crap until the World Cup we all know that but since then he's been consistently delivering, he wasn't brilliant against Villa but still got an assist and scored a pen, he's involved in almost every goal we score these days.

Im not on the we are back wagon yet, goal causing mistakes every game still happening.

I think we cant trust Akanji though, that is a big problem for that.
