Aston Villa (H) - Post-Match Thread

First half we had a bit of our zip back and we did seem to be trying to hit Erling a little earlier. The pace, skill and pass for his assist was excellent. Kev also looked a bit more like his old self driving from midfield. Also Gundo's best game for ages.

Still doesn't feel like we are going full tilt but a win or draw at the Emirates will start to convince me we can pip United to the league :)

I know exactly what he meant I'm not thick and it's a useless fucking statement. The game is over 90 minutes not 45. He might as well have said last season, "Ahh City might have won the last 15 minutes and the title but Villa won the first 75." It's utterly ludicrous and a pointless statement.
The **** said the same thing a few seasons ago when we beat Chelsea at their place 3-1 and they got a last minute goal. He really does need fucking off.

Most teams 3/0 up at half time take their foot off the gas. Look at Tottingham in the cup :-) we had the game won and it’s all about Wednesday

Much better performance in the first half. Got the response we were all waiting for post Pep's outstanding performance in the pre game press conference.

Thought Rodri was superb, same with Bernardo until his mistake for their goal. Grealish continues his form, and Foden finally returning is great news. Thought Dias and Laporte played well together, we didn't look as assured at the back with Dias coming off for Akanji, but second half we definitely put the cue in the rack.

Liked the formation as it got our better players on the pitch. Hoping for a back 4 of Walker, Dias, Laporte and Ake against Arsenal. Think that's our best defensive line up with Stones out.

Hope Haaland's injury isn't to major, don't think it is as he looked fine up until half time but you never know with knocks.

Onto Arsenal now, hoping we bring the intensity from the first half to their anti-Oil even though their sponsored by Emirates Stadium.
He got a knee from Marteniz in his thigh. Probably a dead leg. He will be fine.
