Aston Villa Thread - 2023/24

Didn't see the game tonight, as I don't have access to BBC Scotland. But I'm guessing they probably did. Easter Road has a capacity of only just over 20k. So what would Villa have got; a couple of thousand, maybe?
Top tier looked empty .. poor show if that was all they took , unless it was on police advice .

Easy run out and comfortable victory for them in Leith.

I know it wasn’t the most challenging of circumstance, but I’ll never understand why we never kept/bought back Douglas Luiz. He would have been capable of playing instead of or alongside Rodri. His appreciation of space and constant movement are a real joy to watch.

Easy win against Hibs, I think they could be close to the top 5 this year and a favourite to win the Conference League. Newcastle just caught them on a bad day.

Booed as well.It would be like us booing Gundogan if he comes back to play at the Etihad. No wonder they are called the tramps.Wee team mentality.
Fuck the Hibs.
Also remember thousands at Parkhead booing Larsson when he came back with Barca, bizarre behavior

It seems to be the norm for a club's supporters to boo former players, though I rarely hear it at Etihad.

Quite the contrary; most returning players are cheered by City fans, though there is one exception.

I haven’t forgotten that Cancelo was booed during the game against Bayern, but he wasn’t technically an ex-City player at the time.
