Atmosphere - 2023/24

Just like to say, huge fan of Lutons rail seats, flat against the rails, wasn't bashing the back of my legs off the seats like I do with ours.

Hope we get different rails for north stand (if they put safe standing in there)
 
Even the Mrs commented last night on the game,, she said to me "good God do you lot ever shut up",, lol,, wish I was there, sounded absolutely top draw,, long for the same at home, alass I can count on 2 hands the truly great atmospheres we've had at the etihad
Such a fkin shame as when we want to do it at home we can,, but nearly all grounds are the same now, well in the prem they are anyways
 
If we can produce anything close to yesterday when we play Liverpool, it would give the players such a massive boost.

Unfortunately that wont be the case, as the club values an extra few grand of profit over 3 big points at Anfield.

IMO....we should be recognised and respected for our noise and humour not a ‘loads a money’song that smacks of entitlement,arrogance and largesse.

It sounds rather distasteful and can provide a stick for others to beat us with.

True, but moreso that it was the pre-derby game when the rag build-up tends to get a warm-up anyway.
Maybe someone with a twitter account could explain that to Joe Blatchly @99JJB, re his otherwise complimentary quote in There is a Light post, #3443

I'm not keen on the song either but that's our kind of humour. We've always been able to take the piss out of ourselves and long may it continue.

Our empty seats at home song is fuckin' great: )

haha...yes...just watched it on the replay & they seemed to be referring to the goals surplus rather than the empty seats & lack of noise from the Luton Town brigade....if you know, you know...which obviously the commentator didn't

I am pretty sure that song originated 2009/10 ish and is based on United fans suggesting we would get relegated after our takeover when we were struggling under Mark Hughes.

Its not playing billy big bollards but mocking a United chant from the past.
