That was it. Back, say, 5 rows or so.What happened to 1894 in ss3 where the away fans usually are?
Couldn't se eit hear any singing from there.

Was a great vibe SSL3 today loads of singing mainly the Istanbul stuff etc .Enjoyed that. Was up on in the 1894 bit on row LL (very big fella with a beard, dark blue top). Thought the chunk of 30 or so of us at the back of the tier had a right good go! Never stopped all game.
Difficult when the rest of the section were obviously non-regular attenders but even so a number were joining in. Would have been ideal with 2,000 singers though.
Wonder what the rest of the ground could hear of us?…
Heard nothing of SSL1 from up where I was, tiers in stadiums really do break up the noise. Imagine our fanbase with a modern equivalent of the Rome Olympic Stadium with no running track!
Usual SSL3 seemed to miss the away fans to battle with, thought they seemed quiet.
The songs which got going were all started up there so I thought it worked although it was pretty flat around the rest of the stadium.Enjoyed that. That game would normally have been a dead atmosphere. It was pretty shit really with little to get the crowd going. As it was it was OK overall but there was never any kind of big roaring going on because the game wasn’t like that. If we’d have had a man sent off or gone 2 down or something it would have been great I think.I’m a 315 regular, moved to the 1894 rows in 314 today. Everyone there put a shift in for the full 90 mins, good range of songs, it was loud where we were, but it’s a pity it didn’t carry a bit further. The rest of the upper tier seemed a bit more low key than usual but that’s probably to be expected with no away fans.
If it happens again it would be good to see more people move (the apathy of some actually baffles me) and for a big match when the rest of the upper tier are at it.
I’d take him over the fast version any day of the weekThat chap singing blue moon at the start went down like a lead balloon
