Atmosphere - 2023/24

Same atmosphere as we did against Madrid last year that should be the aim. We should be like that in majority of the big games until the end of the season e.g. vs arsenal and I genuinely don’t think anyone beats us.

Madrid brought a full allocation? I know Spanish fans don’t travel like the Germans do etc.

Villarreal had something like 30 the one time. They put them in the smallest bit of the third tier.

Real Madrid didn't sell their full allocation which made it all the more annoying that there were RM fans in the home areas.

Did they just have L3, or did they fill L3 as well? Most Spanish club supporters don't travel much in Europe.

IIRC they sold their lower 2 tiers and half of L3

Absolutely fantastic atmosphere against Madrid last year.

In spite of the fact there were lots of tourists many silent Mancunians actually cleared their throats and added to the crowd!

We really can do it when we want and boy did our team respond to it.

That was the year before. Last year was just SS3 and they still had empties. Should be same criteria as the derby etc but maybe include attended 2 CL games this year instead.

We really can do it when we want and boy did our team respond to it.

I won’t lie I think some of our better atmospheres come in the CL and everyone knocks the tourist factor but I do find at least half of them are willing to join in and make some noise. Like you say some good portion of silent fans which is totally fair. My gripe is with where they sit good few in SS3 now who moan about standing never mind sing.

I do find it laughable how at this Madrid game I will spot about 8/9 usual faces and that’s it. But I guess city would rather have these people video it as it grows interaction with the club and accelerating interest in going.

There's a part of me that thinks the club are loving the 115 charges, purely down to the exposer the club has gotten for it. Rival fans won't stop going on about us

Think most of us can guess the geordie song sheet tomorrow.
Hope our support can make the most of the bad hand we've been given.
To give the end where our most vocal support normally comes from is a joke.
Live on the box doesn't help us, but hopefully we'll do our bit.

The scousers will take the piss at the swamp tomorrow, top tier as well.
The Cov fans will take the piss at Wolves and the Leicester fans will at Chelsea.

Its the norm in the FA Cup and all will be forgotten come Monday.
