Great atmosphere but loads of tourists and plenty of Madrid in the home sections. At least the tourists stayed to the end.Same atmosphere as we did against Madrid last year that should be the aim. We should be like that in majority of the big games until the end of the season e.g. vs arsenal and I genuinely don’t think anyone beats us.

Think most of us can guess the geordie song sheet tomorrow.Pep bigging up the atmosphere against the rags, saying we need the same again tomorrow, its going to be hard with the toon in the top tier, that's why the new North Stand HAS TO BE the new Kippax, as a club we need a home end and that's it, regardless of who we play.
Thats the problem with the FA Cup, opposition gets so many more tickets. Your right though, we won't have the numbers to compete with a noisy fan base away from home unless the whole ground gets involved. It's our DUTY....no option.I'm buzzing we're actually in a title race. There are going to be some brilliant atmospheres at the Etihad between now and the end of May.
One thing we can say is that when City need us, we do tend to respond.

Villarreal had something like 30 the one time. They put them in the smallest bit of the third tier.

IIRC they sold their lower 2 tiers and half of L3Did they just have L3, or did they fill L3 as well? Most Spanish club supporters don't travel much in Europe.
That was the year before. Last year was just SS3 and they still had empties. Should be same criteria as the derby etc but maybe include attended 2 CL games this year instead.IIRC they sold their lower 2 tiers and half of L3
I won’t lie I think some of our better atmospheres come in the CL and everyone knocks the tourist factor but I do find at least half of them are willing to join in and make some noise. Like you say some good portion of silent fans which is totally fair. My gripe is with where they sit good few in SS3 now who moan about standing never mind sing.Absolutely fantastic atmosphere against Madrid last year.
In spite of the fact there were lots of tourists many silent Mancunians actually cleared their throats and added to the crowd!
We really can do it when we want and boy did our team respond to it.
