Atmosphere - 2023/24

2 1 up, backs against the wall with 10 minutes of injury time to face, and thousands of fans heading for the exit . Same 10 mins before half time . There will be the usual arguments about freedom of choice and getting away from the ground, but sorry, this is embarrassing and frustrating to see.
Come on mate, it’s Strictly season. The Thumb Boys all need to be home and have tea sorted out and sat in front of the tele for Strictly in good time on Saturdays at this time of year.

I knew it was going to be a quite day as the bar in the south stand was empty at 2pm, watched the scouse Derby first half and we think we have a problem with atmosphere? It was a morgue...

Not really arsed either way if people chose to leave early, they all presumably have reasons and that’s their business.

What I would say is that the club must see the huge numbers leaving and realise there must be a fundamental reason for it.

And that reason, purely and simply is the dreadful congestion in the third tiers to get out of the stand, then out of the ground and if you’ve parked on the Blue Car Park then you can add an hour just waiting to get off.

It’s such a poor design and I get why people don’t want that at the end of the game.

That being said, it’s not a great look to see so many streaming out but I don’t think it’s going to change until significant improvements are made to the access and transport links.

Unless we do have a huge Strictly following!

I certainly find it frustrating when it's a 3pm kick off on a Saturday. There will always be a number of people who have events to attend or even work but there were an awful lot leaving. Week day night kick offs are a little more understandable as public transport is rubbish late at night and people are up early for work. Where I sit the same people who leave early also arrive late, leave early for half time and arrive back late for the start of the second half.

I left early , however as a Metro user who takes my 10 year old to the game it would quite frankly have been dangerous not to, even when we left it was rammed and unsafe. Sort the transport out to the stadium and people will stay.

No need to justify it mate. You leave when you want.
I'm in SS3 this season and if you are not halfway down the
steps before the final whistle goes you can be sat there for
a good 10-15 minutes. The entry/exit access is absolutely
dreadful. It really is. I don't blame anyone for leaving early
out of SS3. I stayed to the end yesterday, but unless the game
is a tight finish (like yesterday) I'll pop off a couple of minutes
before the end if anyone doesn't like it, then that's their
problem, not mine.

So why not clap the team off and wait 10 minutes to leave? Or should we all leave before then end so NOBODY is in the stadium and the players exit the pitch thinking 'what the FUCK' ??

I couldn't give a fuck what time people leave mate. It's a personal choice.
It's the busybodies on here, who think they can dictate when you leave your seat.
Wankers of the highest order.

The lad who used to sit next to me for decades has moved as it’s got too expensive where we sit now.

And yesterday, I had one of these tourist twats next to me who came in late, missed the first goal, didn’t watch a single second of the game because he was on his phone all the time, didn’t celebrate the second goal because he missed it because he was on his phone and gave me an arsey look because I was jumping up and down when Håland scored so I shouted ‘what the fuck are you here for?’ at him.

He didn’t come back for the second half.
We had someone on our row yesterday that got up and left after 30 seconds and never came back.

Must be the earliest leaver ever. He didn’t seem to have an emergency, but he may have done.
