Beg to differ. They need banning and taught some respect. Hope they get their arses kicked if they try that shit next week.
My point is that nobody would've known this chanting happened If the club hadn't pointed it out to everyone. The matter could've been settled privately with the individuals, but no let's tell the whole world, making our entire fanbase look like knobheads

I do agree they need teaching respect though.

There were about 5 kids singing Bobby's in a Box, which is obviously not very pleasant but a banning order is ridiculous. If you're offended by these teens then actually grow up.

Yet another example of city bending over backwards to maintain public relations with other clubs who wouldn't treat us in the same way back
How are club getting on with tracking that Scouser who split that girls head open? Since they're going to be hunting through CCTV regarding the chanting...

But that being said, think there would be meltdown on here if the rags were singing Franny's in a box. Works both ways and the lads singing it are twats of the highest order considering the tributes to Franny pre match

The club have to be extremely careful with this and don’t let the media know names and addresses etc. as we all know how that could end.
This matter should be handled internally

Already said it's not the same.

People need to take a piss, not everyone can wait. People like to eat and drink, not everyone has the mindset of not spending in the ground.

But the end of the game is different, now more than ever.
With what went on yesterday no would really knew when the final whistle would be blown.

Just dont get why fans don't want to celebrate a win, that only comes at Full Time.
I've probably missed loads of goals due to being in the bogs, getting in late or late back to seat at H/T etc, can't recall missing a final whistle though.
Congratulations pal, your superfan badge is in the post

First home game in a month and people leave early!

If the game was a 12:30 ko they would still have left early.

Bellends for me, might as well stay at home and watch it
It was 19.30 when I got out of my car, if I'd gone when the Brighton lad went down which was according to the mathematicians on here 10mins or so before the final whistle I'd have saved probably a good 40 mins, did it even cross my mind to bugger off? Did it fuck

Yeah but it looks bad for those steaming :)

Lots of self proclaimed super fans on here leave early on occasions at HT or FT , but lie about it. I remember when Ireland Scored in the last seconds of the first half against Sunderland away at the start of 08/09. I went to the bar/kiosk, and some super fan off here already had 2 burgers, chips and a drink, 10 seconds after the goal. I said did you miss the goal, he said "ye-----no I have never missed a goal". Seems similar with most who big themselves up here.
It only took you 10 seconds after the goal to get to the kiosk? Are you sure you even saw the goal mate? ;)

You make a good point but the service and queues at most grounds is so bad that fans will always try to beat the queue and leave before half-time. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't done it myself, although I'd never do it as early as 10 minutes before half-time. I would add that there's less excuse to go up early in SS1 these days though because the service is so quick in the new bar area that you can often get served within 5 minutes, even if you don't leave your seat until the half-time whistle.

I've said it before, but chanting doesn't hurt people. Obviously racist or discriminatory chanting is different, but on the whole nobody will have been hurt by those dickheads chanting what they chanted.

You know what does hurt though, beer cups filled with coins getting chucked at opposition fans.

But it's clear to me which of these the club thinks is a bigger issue.

Ban them for me.

Hope the blues going old Trafford next week have a banner for Charlton showing nothing but respect & that most city fans show respect the right way
jesus, a ban for a song? behave!! as for a banner, yeah just like they would for us, delusional!!! just silent respect is enough and all we would expect from them c#nts if it was the other way round

All this talk of early leavers. Let me give a contrary view. We are in 101 which has turned into tourist city. There are little islands of season ticket holders but normally its like a day out at the U.N.
I fully expected the usual migration out from 80 minutes onwards but it didn't come. The vast majority stopped in their seats until the final whistle. In fact the players fucked off quicker than most fans. Maybe its a one off but it was welcome.
Talking about atmosphere, ours was spoilt at half time by the ludicrously loud music. We met a lovely lady we hadn't seen since before covid - we had no idea she had made it through ok or her friend that used to sit nest to us so it was brilliant to see her in prime health. It would have been even nicer to be able to hear a word that was said. The club is forever asking about atmosphere. One of the best things they could do is turn the bloody music down.

I’m not sure how old some of super fans on here are but City fans (as fans of other clubs also) have always left early. It’s never been any different. They used to open the big gates behind the Kippax at Maine Road 20 minutes before the end of the game and people were streaming out. I know that for sure because as kids we used to run in to watch the end of the game. Like a lot of fans on here I’ve been watching City for well over 50+ years and have never, ever heard anyone being called out for leaving early at the ground on match day. Never. That tells me it’s not really and issue with match going fans than it is on this forum with a handful of posters who want to prove that they are the biggest blues that ever lived. You really do have to laugh when some JCL comes and tells you that you are a ‘fan’ and not a ‘supporter’ because you leave 2 minutes before the end of the game after 57 years. Absolutely fucking laughable. It really is.
