Atmosphere 2024/25

Didn't mind the game but totally agree Dave, one of the shittest atmospheres for a long long time. I really don't know what the answer is anymore. Clearly pricing is a huge issue for match day tickets but we all have a part to play including season card holders but wow that was so shit today.
There is an answer. The nuclear option. Get the singers together in the new stand. Give the ground one voice.

My worry with that is the noise moves to one end and we end up with the age old problem - three stands with no atmosphere whatsoever.

I also worry there will be huge numbers of agency / corporate tickets in that new end - 8,000 new seats, no season tickets, you can sense exactly what the club will be planning.

I am interested but I’ve pretty much made up my mind I’ll be staying in the South Stand and seeing how it all works out, then making a decision on relocation the following year.

Probably worth emailing the top 6000 points holders with a deal. Even if only 1000 take them up on it, they could all stand together. It would be better than the fragmented mess we have at the moment.
There’s loads of ways we could do it. Your idea is a good one. I’ve always believed that the first relocation option should be given to season ticket holders in the existing singing areas AT HALF PRICE. Call it a loss leader. And market the new stand aggressively as an atmosphere end. Once the momentum starts others will follow. But the move has to be massively incentivised because there’s a natural arms-folded-apathy amongst some of these fans.

Totally agree, it couldn’t be worse than it is at the moment. 500 singers singing one song, who can’t be heard by another 500 singers singing another song. Things can improve more than people think: there are thousands around our stadium who would sing if there was something to join in with. The guy behind me sings every fucking song in a low voice to himself. It drives me mad but that’s what one singing end will overcome.

It’s got to be done aggressively and properly and with a big push and incentives as I said above. If it’s half arsed it will fail, I agree. It’s got to make people like you move because you feel you’ve no choice. Price would be my answer.

I agree but whether it will happen is very debatable. I’m sure discussions around the top table are centred around revenue rather than atmosphere.

Todays atmosphere was fucking wank. I don't give a fuck if it was cold blah blah blah. Saturday 3pms are what we crave yet the only people who even attempted to sing today was the South stand.
Yes Yes I know it is common at most grounds but ours is really really poor at the moment.
Contrast and compare to our away following at Leicester last week.
Sick of people fucking off early now. No it's not my business but it is a wank look.
We’re Man City we fight til leave well before the end
