Atmosphere 2024/25

I get what you mean but it’s nothing to do with winning things and being content or not. It’s about our team and getting behind them because the team is in a bad patch right now. We’ve always known when to come out and support the team and never been needed to be told, even by Pep
I genuinely think we were poor last season in the stands.

Madrid, Arsenal, the derby, Liverpool home games… the games that normally take care of themselves… all had bobbins atmospheres.

Arsenal and Inter this season were poor atmospheres too.

Compare them to the United, Liverpool, Arsenal, Madrid games in the treble season where the atmospheres were incredible. It’s why I think our fanbase has completely relaxed and I wonder if many are content with what we’ve won now.

I don’t really disagree with you. I just think the context is a bit different - lose v Spurs and it is a bad situation

South Stand Level 1, Kippax Corner, South Stand Level 3, 1894 lads (and everyone else)…

First ten minutes on Saturday ‘We’ve got, Guardiola’ should be sung non-stop!

Let’s just sing that from the off and keep it going. Even if it dies down a bit, lads and lasses in those three areas^ I mentioned at the start, just keep it going. The rest of the ground will join back in.

The great man is staying another two years, at least! BUZZING!

Piss poor once again.

The ironic songs when the game was done isn’t good enough. Absolutely nothing from us when the game was in the balance.

The days of any sort of raucous home atmosphere are just gone I’m afraid.

Really I thought on the whole the fans were great.

Not a patch on what it was even just 1-2 years ago for big games, let alone pre-Covid.
We had a few amazing atmospheres in the treble running, but apart from that we were average at best.

It's not going to be like a CL semi final every week, today was great considering the result

At least the bean counters at City have got what they wanted.

I can’t wait for the expanded North stand to open.

It really is going to make a huge difference to the atmosphere at the Etihad.(arf!)

Yeah if people buy into it, it's our only chance to get our own single singing section in unison....don't miss this opportunity blues

If fans buy into it and make it what it could be without pining for the club to hold our hands whilst doing it like some little lost lambs who are scared of a big stand, it might help.

Quite right! And the players stayed and applauded us all like they appreciated it n’all.

Can see who’s really got the minerals in our stands, unfortunately it’s far from being everyone.
Brighton away and today, when we lose we just have to try harder to keep going. Lose at Anfield and we should be the same, let’s stand up and show the fuckers rejoicing in our bad run what we’re about as fans, in the same way we used to when we got battered 5-0 and 6-0 at Anfield in the 90’s.

Today I thought we got behind a losing team. It's very easy to sing when we are winning so to hear Champions Again when we are 3 down surely says a lot
To me it was just singing to have a laugh because we know we were beat, which is fine.

My point though, is that there’s just nothing when the team *really* needs us, when the game is there to be won. Not enough singing in general and certainly not reactive enough to things happening on the pitch.

All you have to do is look at Madrid 22/23 and Liverpool 18/19 (there’s plenty more, those two just stick out), to see the difference it makes. It just isn’t there and wasn’t there even *once* last season either.

First ten minutes today we were alright, but after that while the game was still in the balance we were silent.
