I get where you're coming from and a lot of local lads have been priced out look at the difference in atmosphere from the hamburg game to what we witnessed on Tuesday night, but i think you're being a little harsh on the club and its owners who to be fair have invested a considerable sum to make us a great team. I think you underestimate just how much the cartel and Premier leagues orchestrated campaign to destroy the club has impacted on the need to raise money.I dont think we've sold our soul....but some key remedial and positive actions are required quickly.
Following our phenominal success and enjoyment in the last 13 years, (particularly with the shambles of the out of town imposters), we should be the happiest fans and club on the planet, playing to a packed, atmospheric stadium every match
The fact that we're not screams.... MANAGEMENT PROBLEM !!
Are you there Khaldoon ??
I'm trying to defend the club and be supportive on one hand, but send out a wake up call on the other, because, on some matters, someone is asleep at the wheel and are driving to a point of no return for many people.I get where you're coming from and a lot of local lads have been priced out look at the difference in atmosphere from the hamburg game to what we witnessed on Tuesday night, but i think you're being a little harsh on the club and its owners who to be fair have invested a considerable sum to make us a great team. There are more tickets available for the Forest game next week than the Feyenoord match.
Just sosigWhat type? We need to know? Did you pair then with some Mash, peas and gravy ?
Yes my thoughts exactly.Good. Own fault for thinking they can take the piss with the pricing
Think there'll be loads of spares & empty seats for this, close to Xmas, poor form, night game which I assume is on the telly, likely coming sadly on the back of our usual poor result at the dips etc.there's not though, there was about 8000 left for Feyenoord a week before the game, there is 3000 left for Forest
Indeed mate, good post!100%.
Ticket pricing, (which is one of the smallest parts of the clubs revenue), is the key to re engaging with our fan base across all age groups.
If the pricing is affordable, and the conditions are realistic, we can fill the stadium for every game.
I believe the club and fans are close to a tipping point on this matter.
So many have become priced out, and equally as many are having to be selective about which schemes they can afford.
Prices for midweek cup games are increasingly an issue, but pricing per se the core of the problem.
The Sheikh's introductory letter, following the take over, majored on the value and loyalty of our fan base.
That sentiment has been disregarded for several years now as the club has rinsed the fans year after year.
If the Sheikh's sentiment has changed we should be told so that we know where we stand, and can make our decisions from an informed position.
Come clean City.
Several club actions should be introduced asap before irreparable damage is caused to our relationship and support.
1) A price reduction across all catagories of tickets for next season.
2) A price freeze,at those lower prices, for the following 3 seasons.
3) Flexible and realistic pricing for all 'low grade' CC, FA & CL Cup fixtures.
4) Kid a Quid and Dads & Lads pricing for selected fixtures particlarly around school term holidays.
There are other matters, ie agency sales to non members, which should also be pragmaticly reviewed
The club must re engage with its core (and aging), predominantly working, Mancunian fan base, whilst investing and incentivising young fans of the future.
Someone within the club is seriously misreading both the pricing policy, and the mood, of an increasingly disenfranchised fan base.
The most loyal fans in football are pissed off with being taken for granted, taken advantage of, and ignored.
That person should read the Sheikh's letter and act on his wise words !!
