Surely a good atmosphere is down to where sky place the microphones ?
Anybody who uses broadcast audio to determine the atmosphere has a screw loose as it's obviously based on microphone position and volume settings.
Atmosphere can only be judged in the ground and even then the stadium acoustics play a part in how well the sound travels. I sit at the north end of the east stand and often have a different opinion on the loudness of away fans compared to those who sit elsewhere.

Nah, I watch all City matches on my 50 inch screen with Dolby surround sound. The odd occasion I don't I'm in the pub, on my own as I've got no mates

I WAS TAKING THE PISS

6 people supporting the home team in the away section, using tickets that should have gone to City fans, is the crux of the matter.
Just to clarify - again - they were not 'chucked out' - simply moved to the home end. And for me - it might sound odd - but I like to be surrounded by City fans when I go away - if that's not you - enjoy!

I thought it was a decent atmosphere in our end on Saturday. Not as good as Leicester with the non-stop singing but it was quite good in the main. I think we were at our worst for 5 or 10 minutes after they scored. There were a fair few tourists in our end and loads of fans fucked off to the bar about 15 minutes before half-time, and it's fair to say that they weren't all tourists either. At least that meant most fans had been served by the time I got down there at half-time.

Orient fans were very good IMO with all sides of the ground joining in with most of the songs. It's a great ground for atmosphere and it was easy to get songs to spread. "If you're watching in the flats you're a ****" near the end was funny ;)

I’m getting a bit sick of these tourists!

Is that Barry from Droylsden?

It is Barry yeah, he's from Failsworth though, known him and Dave for years.

I worked at Bae with Dave then became good mates with his lad Mark kicking a ball about, had a few pints with them both before the derby in December.

The pair of them have put some miles in following them daft idiots in blue shirts
