Atmosphere yesterday

There was a good ten minute spell last night when the atmosphere was a bit more like it should be all the time. We were trying to lift the team and frankly got fuck all in return from a passionless and heartless set of players. You usually see a response but last night there was nothing.

Was that the 10 mins we scored the equaliser, missed the sitter and played with more fight and urgency?

no it was the 10 mins from 55 mins to 65 mins when it was 1-0 and a continuous chant of 'oh when the blues go marching in' - people had had a pint at half time and were ready to let themselves go a bit

so much is wrong though. how can they claim it's a full house when there's loads of empty seats. the people taking the seats leave early. the media will have a go at us over the atmosphere but there is no one at the club taking it seriously or even bothered about how things look or sounds. that's how it seems.

whatever the club's strategy is. how they project themselves...doesn't work and hasn't worked for a long time with regards to inspiring people to build an atmosphere.

people have been turned off by the build up for so long they would rather stay on the concourse and drink

Exactly! Fuck me what do people expect in a 10 minute period. Is it so hard to ask the fans to support the fucking team in an important game! We failed to do that last night.

To do it for the majority of the match.

It was piss poor last night, outsung by 700 away fans, we were a joke last last night, its a big game we need to win and when the team walks out there is about 35k in the ground, everyone knows what time kick off is and I like many travel a 100 miles to get there on time so whey can;t most others. The Atmosphere is getting worse as the weeks go by and the fact the team couldn't be arsed to put a half decent display in. And why dont we get rid of the flags now the fans pass around as again last night it looked sad that the few fans that had bothered to turn up on time in the SS were again struggling to pass the flag around. Piss poor all round from the team and a lot of the fans. Maybe we should hold back on the pouring of the concrete and put a big fucking clock at the SS outside so meveryone knows when KO is.

First time poster but how many plastic fans do we have a guy who sat near me threw his season card straight at a steward I know we was all pissed off but come on the team needed our support last night and we got out sung by a small bunch of away fans we need to sort something out for Monday night any ideas

What other club sticks the fans that want to stand up and make a noise in the corner out of the way while givin the away fans a prime position behind the goal, they either don't care about the atmosphere or haven't got a clue how to create one, I suspect they're happy to have a ground full of tourists and happy clappers cos the local hardcore of support don't spend as much

No it was 1-0 at the time but everyone could see the team was struggling and tried to get behind them. The team didn't do anything different and people gave up. I know that shouldn't be the case but that's what happened.
