Atmosphere

Was pretty full - I took the kids in the family stand today. Poor atmosphere. The most empty section was the top of the south stand - still with palaceonly bringing a few a great crowd at this time of year.
I’m a non attendee. It wasn’t full. On the cameras it was very noticeable the empties. I know it’s easy to say ‘go then’ but I’m just saying. It was noticeable.

What do you reckon the answer is to the atmosphere improving? I generally think people are happy to just leave it all to the singing sections. You can see that depending on where you're sat. You've got groups both sides of the away fans starting different songs. Having said that when the South stand starts the 'stand up if you love City' chant it's usually dead before it hits the half way line in CB and East stand. Is it bwacuase we're usually on the front foot attacking and the anticipation of a goal pauses everything. I'd be hard pushed to come up with an answer. These are just observations by the way and by no mean criticism.

It wasn’t just the leaving but the whining and moaning from those around me was incredible. Fairly play to the fellow older blues who carried on getting behind them.
Like I said , shouted a few expletives in the hope of getting the team going and was pulled up by people near me , could have reacted and told them to do one but couldn’t be arsed and not my style . It’s suppose to be a game of emotion but it’s so sterile it’s fucking pathetic at City now .

Lets forget this Lets build the North Stand as a Mega Home end bullshit. We have tried that with the South Stand and as much as the 1894 Group try to create a atmosphere it simply aint working. The biggest issue for me is that we now have a set of new fans that simply want to just sit and watch a game of football and are more interested in getting away early so that they can get home quicker. It baffles me beyond belief why u would pay so much money and not stay till the end, i know its been said before but how many people go to watch a film at the cinema for a fraction of the price but don't leave before the film has finished. I travel a 6hr return journey for all home games and have done since i started work in the late 80's but can honestly say ive never walked out without applauding the team off the pitch and ive seen some poor performances over them years. im afraid thats just the way football is nowadays and it aint going to change no matter how many times you disrupt fans around the stadium by relocating them to suit others.
