Attacks in Paris

As I said though 'Catholic' served as an identifier for Celt. There are ethnic divides also, and that's important to recognise. It became tribal.

You could just as easily swap the word Celt for Catholic, and Protestant for Brit - the hatred was interchangeable.

I think the Protestant/Catholic hate directly morphed out of the Native British settler/Native Irish Celt division.

I don't at all think the hate was borne out of religion. And there are no religious motives for the hate.

It was purely another dividing line between the two groups, a further 'us and them' division.

they hide behind there religion that is why its very hard to fight them. they use the good people with no religious motives so that you cannot say anything.its up to the good people in there religion to fight them and kick then out

I'm not following either and I'm not fanning any flames, I am merely observing some things that are actually going on.

In the UK, we welcome many people from many different countries and cultures and rightly so but it's the apparent lack of respect for OUR culture that is causing friction.

Part of that culture is Christianity and a western way of life. You either accept that or you move on. You don't start rearranging the furniture in the living room of someone else's house because it's not how you would have it.

What the fuck is "our" culture.... Given that we are nation of immigrants that have melted together over hundreds of years? Our culture is one (albeit more recently) of acceptance and inclusion. What is a christian way of life? Is it getting shit faced on a friday and saturday? Is our way of life the same as it was in the manchester / bristol / london as it was 50 or 60 years ago? Is it fuck. Times change. Get with it.

The fact that some fuckwits decide that they want to impose their ideas on others is no way reflective of a huge proportion of society.

Im still not sure what you were hoping to gain by posting a pic of Anjem Choudry, if it wasnt to fan flames. Perhaps you can explain?

This thread is surely not the time or place for this, let's agree to disagree. My point is that if I had been born in Spain (entirely possible) I would still consider myself 100% English. I'm sure those scumbags didn't consider themselves English even if they were born here.

Exactly free Derry and all that ,ask them if they class themselves as British
