Attendances

RAWK and redcafe still lying about empty seats. Liverpool fans make me laugh with their conspiracy theories. We've only extended so Mansour can pump money in by selling seats to non existent fans. The scary thing is, they actually believe it.

You have to laugh at this "we have more fans than you" shit don't you. Most forum posters on rag cafe and Rawk have never been to a game in their life. Fucking idiots.

The only think that matters is that we know that if we price it right, we can sell out a 60,000 stadium easy.

The powers that be must have heard that atmosphere today with loads of new ST holders, some paying £299, that expanding the NS is the next logical step.

They have to keep the prices as reasonable as possible though.

Totally agree, ticket prices in the long-run are what will make or break this expansion. Watford tickets at £39 rather than the £54 we charged vs Stoke last season is a step in the right direction but season tickets under £400 should be available for the majority not just used to entice fans into the new stands

There were a few empty seats around me but I guess season card holders aren't allowed to go on holiday during the season. Every club state the attendance based on tickets sold, they don't do a head count on the way in.

Maybe I should post on RAWK and red cafe to let them know I'll be missing the villa at home game due to being in Japan just so they can account my empty seat for a reason!

Selling Chelsea out is easy. They brought 3,000 for a start. And if you can't have an atmosphere at 3-0 then when can you.

The tests are still to come.

It looked very full to me. On occasion last season there was the odd area with empty seats like at the very front of the North Stand but nothing like that yesterday apart from a few spaces at the front of the Chelsea end in the 3rd tier

It looked full on the telly, but my seat was empty, is being in hospital a good enough excuse?

so unhappy I missed it.

should be out this week so should be OK for the watford game

Me too. Had 3 tickets on wednesday morning and non by friday t-time. Still, i'd stay at home every week if it meant they perform like that.

They are but at least we are seeing a move in the right direction price wise. £39 for Watford would have been £50 plus last season.

The Atmosphere was great from the start. We only went 2-0 up in the 79th minute. It wont be like that every game but I thought it was a real positive yesterday. Someone else mentioned that the top tier had very few kids in it and I have a feeling it will be decent up there. It couldn't be any worse than it had got.

Got a good feeling about this season.
