I wasn't quite sure which thread to put this. Some Chelsea fans don't seem too impressed.
It's our home. About time we started treating it as such.

Wait until we are averaging 60,000 in 3 years time and 70,000 + in ten years time? What are they going to say then? Yesterday was a momentous day in our clubs history. The new stand changed the whole dynamics of our stadium. I have been going on about the impact the change in the acoustics that's the roof material would have for 18 months. I have to be honest yesterday was the day our stadium started to feel like a football stadium rather than a converted athletics stadium. That might seem extreme but I think a fair comment. The extra 2/3 rows at the bottom reduce the bowl effect and the noise stays in the stadium rather than escaping. I cannot wait for the North End to start. It was great to see so many different fans and new faces there where I sit as well. Imagine an end that holds 12,000 in a single tier. That's what we want at the north - move City Square to the Collar site and it will get even better. Yesterday wasn't just a football game - it was an experience - a pleasure to witness. Let the others go on about finding one empty seat or the minute we get a crowd below 50,000 - ignore it - it is fear. The end looked even better on TV. I love the fact the design of the stadium is future proofed. Its only going to get better.
Perfectly put mate. Question for you. Planning is granted for the North stand as we know but would a change of design, single tier require a new application do you know?
Not a full new application - modification to design. The design options are being worked on as we speak. Yesterday would have done us no harm whatsoever to ensuring that it will happen sooner. Lets hope we keep the momentum up and prices sensible and maintain 52,000+. I think 10 full houses will see it start next summer.
^^^^THIS is my favourite post of the month! Until KDB/Pogba signs of course! ;-)Not a full new application - modification to design. The design options are being worked on as we speak.
