Autophagy (and fasting).

That's brilliant. Tbf I'm always amazed at your self discipline.
The two runs a day for a year etc.
I studied Fasting deeply about 15 years ago when a good mate of mine died from Cancer
Spent most of my life reading so self study wasn't a problem
My study taught me a lot.opened my eyes.touch wood ,if I ever get really ill, which I haven't for ages,I'll know what to do.
Based on your reading, was the gist that it’s a good idea?

I currently only eat in a 2-4 hour window each day, though on one day at weekends it might slip to 6 hours. It has made a weight-loss difference, but I do wonder if it has any other benefits (or disbenefits) that are less immediately obvious.

A visit to a nutritionist helped me to realise that in later life the muscle percentage of the body weight reduces significantly.
I now add a daily 30g of protein powder together with a small amount of creatine to my daily diet which over a single month has redressed the muscle percentage.
My weight is the same but my strength and grip have improved enormously.
You dont need creatine...if you give your body some good fat it will throw a switch to burn up 75% fat and 25%muscle...if youre lean youll be operating on them %'s the other way around...apple after mid-day diced and laced with organic peanut butter wint spike cortisol...ball of wool.

Cottage cheese is your friend

If on a reducing diet avocados despite their high fat value target belly fat rather than overall fat.

Interesting to read that. How do you measure your own muscle percentage, do you just mean judging it by how strong you ‘feel’ and your grip etc?
Originally I was going with my wife who for medical reasons needed to see a nutritionist. She used what looked like scales but it was also attached via a metal bar to a computer which I held tightly in front of me
After taking several readings the computer printed out coloured bar charts measuring body, water, belly fat, overall fat, BMI of course etc.

No other medical has given me this information so had a go myself.
Amazed to find the muscle info. I researched older age and muscle loss and found it true.

The creatine gives me better grip to use the new or replacement muscle which again works for me.

Wow, didn’t realise it was as ‘simple’ to get all that info (though I’m sure the machine is quite complicated). So basically all it involved was standing on scales then being asked to grip a bar tightly? Thanks for that.

Basically that's it.
Each visit costs 12 euro but the print offs are amazing with red yellow and green bands.
I think there is 20 euro set up charge to enable progress to be charted but the nutritionist works out of a local gym here in Spain.
Along with my free comprehensive blood 6 month blood tests I am now happy with most aspects of age health.

Gives your body organs a rest ! Time for any ailments to heal

Blood which travels round the body apart of the immune system fixing problems..suddenly interrupted when we stuff say a bacon sandwich down the gullet.. blood has to leave the problem areas to help ease this new food mass through the digestive system..healing interrupted.left feeling fatigued..

At night when we sleep healing is in full flow to be interrupted by breakfast...if this is skipped
Healing time is extended...

One meal a day gives me optimum fitness..when I can be disciplined enough to stick to it
24 hour fast even better..

John Rose,a Canadian nutrionalist talks extensively about 31 day juice fasting to cure any dis -ease...his " 31 Day Solid Food Vacation" is extensively covered on YT...altho he makes the proviso
People only try and actually complete the full 31 Days when they are absolutely desperate...or disease is terminal.
There are many diff forms of fasting obviously ,find the one that works for you if seeking health benefits...

I don't understand why more people don't take creatine daily. Its seen as something only bodybuilders take but its so beneficial. I only get about 6 hours maximum sleep a night and my energy levels since I started taking 5g creatine a day are much higher. Cheap, safe and incredibly well researched. Everyone should take it as a daily supplement

Creatine is one of the most studied and clinically proven supplements out there. And it is dirt cheap, nothing wrong with taking it.

I'm certainly not a body builder but my blood tests here include creatina along with cholesterol etc..
I am regenerating lost muscle but am advised by my nutritionist that it is most important to add creatine to make this new muscle work properly.
Thanks for your comments.

Does nobody make a 8 hrs sleep creatine?

That depends how people survey, i'm almost certain nobody will go into histerics about muscle cramping..though if that muscle happens to be the very one that sets your mood then it could be argued that its mood changing. But folk will wear a bit of bloat and a few muscle cramps for size...absolutely they will.

Never had that in my life of taking it, but my Father in Law did because he has to take Aspirin daily to thin his blood due to a stent from a heart attack. For your average joe it is one of the only actual supplements proven to help you in a world full of snake oil and lies. And creatine isn't about size it's not anabolic, they're also looking into higher doses helping brain function.

85 but I honestly feel a lot younger than that.
I always look forward and am lucky that our Spanish version of the NHS has very little ageism and treats us older people in the same way as much younger people.

20 mins a day for a month in any denominations you like on a hanging bar..will build lean muscle and give you a moody monkeys grip for any other endeavours...so will unilateraly carrying ( slowmo) a builders bucket filled with water for distance. More especially if your feed your face royal.
