AVB sacked/Abramovich. (Merged)

Re: AVB for the chop ? (Merged)

If the gangster has any sense he'll back AVB and in the summer the racist, fat fwank, drogba and cashley will be shipped out for undermining him and he'll have a team of players that trust him rather than undermine him texting their mate Jose.

The performance against Napoli maybe?
So we're writing off a performance where he had to contain one of the best strikers in Europe for 90 minutes (which he did well) because he was hung out to dry by Cole and put in a ridiculous position to begin with? That situation was Cole's doing and masterfully exploited by Cavani.

What about when he let Herdandez equalize at the Bridge? He just stood there and did nothing, miles away from him. How many times has he been out of position this season? My step-dads a Chelsea fan, I have watched almost every Chelsea game this season as he has watched City with me.

You can't deny that sometimes he just looks like he would rather be a midfielder. David Luiz has cost Chelsea multiple goals this season.

It's not his fault at all..

as long as Chelsea don't get rid of that old group of players, they'll never make any success. Those guys took the charge in dressing room long time ago and "sacked" more than few managers already.

Chelsea need rebuild and I actually believe AVB when he says he has a backing of Abramovich. With all his benching of Lampard, Torres and Drogba, he would already be out with this kind of results if Abramovich didn't finally realized where the real problem is.

just got in and found out the score at Napoli ........... oh dear ......... hahahaha!

lets put things in perspective.

end of season Chelsea finished 2nd under Ancelotti, level on points with City and had a better goal difference.

they spend £30m on a manager, about to get dumped out of the Champions League by a very good Napoli side and leaves out Cole, Lampard and Torres, but more shockingly they are 17 points behind City have a lesser Goal Difference of 32 and there's still 13 games to go.

They are nearly as shite as Arsenal and Liverpool. Never thought I'd live to see this day .... lovin' it!!!!!

They should be further behind us, only a bent ref helped them beat us.

'tis.

Fullbacks should be backed up by responsible CBs and not the other way around.

Luiz is not the right CB for a PL club!

As I posted before the new guard is not good enough to replace the old guard.

Neither can you blame Drogba for Torres' goal drought.

Rafa Benitez in line to take over if Roman Abramovich loses faith with Andre Villas-Boas

Could this possibly get funnier? Rafa! lol

Re: AVB for the chop ? (Merged)

I would honestly get rid of

Terry
Cole
Mikel
Lampard
Malouda
Meireles
Drogba

Noone's going to touch Torres unless someone like Atletico come in for him for about £15m or something so i'd keep faith in him.

They already have De Bruyne so another two class defenders, two more midfielders and an out and out striker and they will more than compete again.

They realy have to get rid of the Cole/Terry/Lampard/Drogba old guard. There must be over £500,000 p/w in wages there aswell!

I agree, he must apologise for being Portugese.

Hope he doesn't get sacked. He speaks far, far better than many British managers. There aren't many as charismatic and intelligent as him, and I'd rather see people like him and Martinez in jobs than Bruce and Allardyce.
The team he's inherited just aren't performing. He showed last year what he can do with the right players. But the only thing telling me at the moment why he won't be sacked is that Red Rom spent £13m to get him!! An insane amount for a manager!! Not exactly re-assuring for supportive Chelsea fans…

Also, what Marcotti tweeted suggests AVB is a DMW.

I don't buy the whole "the team he's inherited is rubbish" tantra.
At the start of the season everybody's guess would have been that Chelsea would be competing for #1 spot in PL again.

Their incoming transfers in the 2011-12 season so far:

Thibaut Courtois
Oriol Romeu
Romelu Lukaku
Juan Mata
Ulises Dávila
Guadalajara
Raul Meireles
-
Gary Cahill
Lucas Piazón
Kevin De Bruyne
Patrick Bamford

Summer and winter mercado combined they spent 87,45£. I assume the manager has had his say in those transfers or indicated which parts of the squad would need strengthening/backup? So far, Chelsea's season has been marked by poor decision making, lack of tactical intelligence and (true) demotivated players. But you can't blame everything on the players. If you feel your coach makes the wrong call more often than not and you see it confirmed game after game, who wouldn't get demotivated?

Not to mention the way he's been threating players like lampard...

I think you need to watch that goal again. We use zonal marking, Ivanovich was meant to close down Giggs (which he didn't do) Luiz was covering the far post and Romeu was meant to mark Hernandez' run, which he didn't do for some reason. The DMC acts like a 3rd CB in those situations and Romeu just didn't deal with it. I'm not denying that he's too eager to get forward when he can, which is why he works a LOT better with Terry next to him who is disciplined and good at organising the defence (so tell him when its fine to push forward).

Look at Napoli. Ivanovich completely bottled Cavani's goal. He was caught ball watching and Cavani just ran through him. I've not seen a single comment about that mistake, about how shit he is. He wasn't put in an awkward situation by others either and had plenty of time to position himself. Mistakes are made, our defence has generally been badly organised this season and Bosingwa leads the mistake chart BY FAR.
