Absolutely disgraceful decision it was clearly obvious that Abramovich had to back AVB and dispense of the old guard in the dressing room, yet he's pulled the trigger on a fantastic young manager. Chelsea will regret that decision in the long term just like Mourinho.

This
They needed a huge clear out. Some of thier players think they are bigger than the club and also are getting on abit. Whilst these players remained at Chelsea, there will be issues again.
Cost them about 15 million to get him in, now could cost millions in sacking him.

I don't think Di Matteo will give them the new manager boost, I wouldn't worry.

He's 34years old and he's managed Porto and Chelsea, we'll see him at a top club again in no time.

Mourinho will be back at chelsea soon, without a doubt.
Househunting in London apparently.
Has since said that he isn't going back to Chelsea, plus i can't see Roman admitting he was wrong and offering him the job

It's fairly open knowledge that the players who hate AVB hate Di Matteo too.

Chelsea sack AVB - new manager syndrome!

When we played Sunderland over Xmas, they were still experiencing that new manager feeling under O'Neil.
Now Chelsea have sacked AVB with us due to play Chelsea in 2wks.
I hope that Chelsea beat Birmingham which will see the Chelsea game re-arranged till April.
Catch 22 is that we will have a wknd with no fixture which may see Utd climb above us and City playing catchup throughout the rest of the season.
Makes a Spurs win today vital!!
