I would by pissed off if we did sign Eidur Downe as he is known to be lazy and falls asleep when defending set pieces.

Apparently he's signing as part of a triple swoop with Ukranian international Eniold Shtryka and Chinese wonderkid Sum Lef Bak.

Unfortunately, that deal fell through after Shtryka had a falling out with his club's board over unpaid wages and organised a player protest. Bak then reversed course on his involvement, as well, in solidarity.

Twitter has it that ABE, as he is now being called to save characters in tweets, is in London negotiating a contract but reports are sketchy as to with which club.

I heard he attended every top clubs academy simultaneously, so each could claim him home grown if he chose them in the end. That's the main reason why his skills, both in football and life, are so well rounded.
