Away fans / tourists in home sections

Not sure why people are surprised

We slagged Rags off for not having local fans for years but we have morphed into them

We are customers not supporters or fans anymore

The club, as do others, make more money on day trippers than they do on ST holders

I have followed City throughout the dark days but now do not feel that loyalty is appreciated

We are a different club now

The Football is so much better but the feeling of being a part is not
Oh dear...

Wrong. It’s on the club. You really couldn’t be any further off beam with that post. Most match-going United fans will absolutely empathise with a lot of the points raised in this thread, given the issues that arose at their game against Rangers the other week, where it was clear for all to see that the club had sold blocks of tickets in home areas to Rangers fans then tried to gaslight their whole fanbase into thinking it was United fans selling their tickets on.

I suggest you have a read of the below and educate yourself before spouting unfounded bollocks:

Fair point but The 1958 are worse than Scousers to me, adopting a name to exploit the saddest event in Manchester’s football history. The rags wouldn’t hold back if the Glazers or Ratweazle did this which shows their hypocrisy.

Anyway, I’m sure the Talkshite interview will go well.

Mandarin speaking guides you say. Is this a crime or evidence of some tourist takeover? This topic is embarrassing and it will not be long before Man Utd fans and the media find it. Just to make clear, not all City fans support this. This is on the 1894 Group.
No it is not a crime, nor am I implying it is. Please do not imply any racist element to my observation, I lived in China for 7 years and have great empathy with the Chinese people.

What I believe it is evidence of is that this was an international tourist group of around 50 people (almost certainly neutrals) taking up seats at one of our biggest games of the season, and could only have been facilitated by the club not individual SC holders selling on.

You said there was no evidence the neutrals were not locals. I’m saying yes there is, it was a tour group.

All a bit convenient though, more bad press to come out of not allowing it to be displayed. Gave the ok so those in the ground see it, then send the dibble in to get it moved before tv cameras pick it up, although I think they’ll be briefed not to show it anyway. I’d redesign it so it can be separated in the middle without the club knowing

I was involved in it and the stewards were happy and club were ,it was a police decision, I'll call out club if needed but this was the police

Campaigns on ticket prices I support. But the discussion on 'tourists' is tinged with racism.

What they call themselves is irrelevant to this discussion though Tim. They're the ones who are picking up the baton and taking the club on regarding ticketing over there.

On the incident in 115, is that block still entirely made up of season ticket holders?
I believe it was a few years ago.

Would be interested to hear what is said by the ticket holder to the people around him at the next game in terms of where he sold the ticket

Sadly the pic is real
That is mental. It never has been and never will be for me, but if people want a half and half scarf as a souvenir, so be it, but to have gone to old Trafford prior to attending one of the biggest games of the season at City?!

Most City fans and football fans want transparency and honesty from their clubs. Unfortunately clubs, or the people who are running the clubs are incapable of doing that, or are not prepared to do that. Instead they will twist the narrative to suit their agenda or just lie.
It is because most have no clue what being a fan of the club they work for is about

They may be fans of a club somewhere but all fan bases have differences

City, whilst we have won stuff was about the dream. We never had arrogance but we turned up and showed loyalty

Many will argue that has gone and we now expect more but do we really?

Reading these type of threads I do not think we do.

I work as a steward at other grounds , if tell him go get rid of his shit and then maybe fuck him off altogether if I could. No interest in City so no entry on a game like that

I don’t think it is my take on the word tourist is someone attending the game that has no really affiliation to the team may just like the sport and is taking the game in as an attraction. If city were away that weekend they’d probably attended Old Trafford. Like someone from England going to New York and taking in a basketball baseball or ice hockey game and may not even know the rules.
