Away tickets

I agree with a lot of your points on this thread but that's a bit harsh, I've been on the train to away games with our branch sec. when he's received texts from Kevin Parker about spares available for collection pre-match on a first come first served basis. That's the club's fault for not releasing these tickets sooner, the OSC are just trying to shift them, it's often too late to put them on sale on the website.
perhaps scrounge is the wrong word and I accept that it is the club's fault all I am is asking, that there should be a cut off point for these tickets to be claimed and any unclaimed tickets should go back to loyalty card holders and not be channeled through the supporters club.
I also accept that Newport is a different case due to the short notice

I’m not sure being grabbed as I walked through the turnstile, pinned against the wall and subject to a 20-minute rant, with you shouting “Don’t interrupt!” whenever I said “But....” really counts as canvassing your opinion. ;-)

You will need police protection at games like MPs & broadcasters outside of Parliament during Brexit debates...

Here we go again
Today to SCs
We have a number of Newport tickets available. First come first serve.
First question. Where have these tickets come from ?. Not from an extra allocation.
Second Question. Why only offered to SC's surely they should have been put on the City site as Shalke sold out quite high.

I’ve just asked our SC secretary and he has heard nothing about extra tickets for Newport. So, once again, is it just the privileged few Supporters Clubs who are being offered things?

Before anyone thinks I’m angling for a ticket, I’ve got mine thank you but I would be interested to know which of the SC branches were offered extra tickets. As I would be interested to know how they allocate the number of tickets given to each branch in the first place. (See my questions early on in the thread). :-)

I missed out on a Newport ticket by a matter of points. Had it been last year when the points went on when you purchase a ticket, I'd be fine as I'm waiting for Schalke home and away and Wembley to be added.

I'm seething that the supporters clubs have now got extra tickets. A complete fucking joke and the reason why the current system is massively flawed and full of secret handshakes.

I bet I can guess which supporters clubs are the privileged ones too........

This is a ridiculously bizarre take on this whole situation. At no point have I said I'm "happy" with the corporates taking an away allocation. I'm not happy about it in the slightest but I'm fully aware that this is not something we can change not the club have an appetite to change because of the revenue stream hospitality brings.

With regards to supporters clubs sorting home tickets, you're just proving all that is questioned about the supporters clubs. Why do only supporters club get offered these tickets in Legends? Are you telling me that members of supporters clubs are happy to dedicate themselves to a supporters club but not to a football match? That's unless they get a secret handshake ticket from the supporters club in a semi-hospitality area.

You've literally just proved with that post all that is flawed with supporters clubs. A case of your scratch mine and I'll scratch yours from the club. The club need to take a look at themselves if they are rewarding some fans different opportunities to others just because they are too lazy to be innovative and proactive in the sale of all tickets

I not sure it was simply a case of sorting home tickets for SC's at this game. I believe City offered the use of the legends suite to the OSC and then those who wanted to go, members of a SC, could pay a fee to upgrade.

Loyalty points is the issue and this only really became an issue with the introduction of the Platinum scheme. I do not see it as being resolved to suit all.

Thanks for clarifying that. Matt didn't really make that clear. Instead he made it sound like it's on the SC that the ground was so full against Burnley

Loyalty points are an issue, I agree. I know a lot who have binned Platinum because essentially it is a rip off. They've got the ones on higher points by the bollocks.

I assumed the last minute messages from Kevin go to all Branches. We received the message and aren’t a privileged Branch (apart from having a couple of rich fookers in Knaresborough). Sometimes Kevin’s emails are easily missed when there is a lot of email correspondence on a day.

loyalty points is not the issue, it's the fact that 40% of away tickets are being creamed off by one group or another, with little accountability
That's 1400 tickets per away match out of 3000 tickets that would probably mean the sellout criteria would reach down to 13000 points instead of 16000 average at present
